If a 22 year old kid could do it a former marine science teacher could do it too. My son's biology teacher was a former marine. I had several teachers that were ex military. My band teacher had a BKA from WWII. Teaching is a common second career for former military people. We could also hire them for security officers.

All excellent points. In the case of the 22 year old kid, he shot the mass shooter from 40 yards away with a 9mm pistol, hitting him 80% of the time, including the first shot.
