Carefull, Supercandy, Yurt and Damocles will attack you for starting a new thread on the same subject... Or do they only do that when they dont want to address the subject?
Well that's really up to you. If others segue into another topic and you want the thread to stay on message then it's up to you to create a post that returns the conversation back to being on topic. It's silly to think you can create a thread make an OP and that it will remain on topic with out your having to make any additional efforts. That's not how human nature works.I asked a simple question and it got hijacked by insults. How do you guys keep up with the debates?lol So much B.S. talk not much substance.........
I guess that is what happens to a message board that has no rules of conduct.......
Groomzillas? That's unheard of. What's the bride have to say about this testosterone-fueled drama?
It happens frequently in NYC, where the men behave like women 99.7% of the time.
It's kind of like scottboxster and abba from the old board. True love disguised.
You do realize that 99% of the threads end because you and yurt get into your standard slap fights and the rest of us get annoyed and leave?
Does not the church of Jesus preach and practice tolerance?
i think she's involved actually. My older brother owns a tux, a expensive, custom made tux. He's the best man. I always thought the best man's tux could be a little different? But that part doesn't even matter, because according to him, the tux is exactly the same, he brought it to the store and put them under bright lights, and even the owner said, yeah, i'd wear it, it's the same.
But then the owner told him, look I can't tell the bride they're exact, because there could be one stitch off and then I'm on the hook. And then after talking for a while, my brother got out of him that my younger brother's soon to be wife had called him and told him, the best man thinks he's going to wear his own tux, that's not happening.
It blew up this morning. Each of them keeps trying to drag me into it, calling me up, well, with my older brother, coming into my office, telling me their side. I actually agree with my older brother, this whole thing is ridiculous, but you know how something like this starts one of those "and another thing, remember that time you.."? Well, that's this morning. I'm trying to hide.
OMG, that's awful. Maybe the groom should tell her that if people are focusing on the best man's tux, then she's failed in her choice of bridal gown. Really, a tux is a tux is a tux. Unless you're Liberace.
and you got the simple answers.... that was my point. Then people got distracted by the lack of substance and the insults started flying....
My point was simply that you should have either asked a more substantial question, followed up with a more in depth question after people answered the simple one or simply left after getting the simple answers to your simple question.

The question was sufficient for my needs and I later explained why. To blame my post for the circus that followed is ridiculous.
Just appease the crazy woman and rent the tux she wants him to wear, less stress, she thinks she wins and likely later feels guilty for being such a bridzilla and everyone wins.
That's what I would do Jarod. But my brother's are now in a pissing contest, and it doesn't look like that's an option anymore.
Now, now - I have seen you get dragged in to Yurt's insane world plenty of times. A little pot/kettle going on there, though I will admit that I've been dragged in exponentially more.
I agree it's a problem. I've got the best people working on it.
LOL
There's some small nugget of truth to this possibly.
Exactly! And my younger brother says it's our wedding we want it to be perfect! So the best man's tux being exactly precisely the same is what makes a perfect wedding? The wedding is going to be beautiful!

What you should tell your older brother is this..... 'rent the tux they want you to rent, then wear the tux you want to wear.... if they notice (which they won't if the tuxes are that close) then say ooops, put the wrong one on... my bad'
