Why the liberal arts are important

You MAGAs make it sound like there is a dire emergency of too many students majoring in useless art history.

It looks like only two or three thousand bachelor's degrees are awarded every year in art history in the US. That's probably only a tiny fraction of one percent of all the Stem degrees earned every year.

There are thousands of art museums, art galleries, art dealers in this country, not to mention the need for art teachers at the secondary school, community college, and university levels.

If somebody loves art and wants to give it a shot, why does that make MAGA morons angry?

You haven't heard? All art history, English lit, psych., sociology graduates are all on welfare. Plus they're OBVIOUSLY liberal, and likely not white or male or straight or Christian, either.

YOU make it sound like Art History is the only liberal arts degree.
I could turn that around and say there’s only a couple of thousand chemical engineering graduates which is a tiny fraction of all liberal arts degrees awarded.
Speaking of ‘you MAGAs’, I thought you were one of them now.

I am way ahead of you mouse.

I already looked this up in a thread from last year. The number of bachelor's degrees awarded every year in the traditional liberal arts is only a tiny fraction of all degrees awarded. The vast majority of students are majoring in business, engineering, nursing, science, technology.

It's only your gullibility that caused you to believe FOX propaganda that there is a catastrophic situation in this nation of too many students majoring in liberal arts.

Why are you angry if somebody loves art or history and wants to give it a shot??

I am seriously wondering why MAGA morons are so angry at people who love art or theater and want to give it a shot

Dissatisfaction and cynicism with their life career choice of lawnmower repair and bar tending?

Which is good. Most kids realize the value of that type of education.

. It’s your ignorance to believe I even watch FOX. I don’t watch any TV except for the occasional golf or college football.

My only argument here is that majoring in liberal arts is inferior to STEM degrees for employment purposes. I don’t see how you can possibly argue against that.

So apparently you do watch FOX News, knowing their propaganda. Not surprising now that you’ve outed yourself as a MAGAt.

Tell that to your friend FoulWoman, the board dingbat.
"Liberal arts" as an area of study has nothing at all to do with political parties. It's merely a way to label courses that aren't STEM. It includes nursing, teaching, psychology, literature, music, foreign language, speech/communications, sociology, anthropology, art/painting/sculpture, graphic design, game design, political science, philosophy, religion/theology, etc.

Sadly the idiot MAGATs see only the word "liberal" and have a knee-jerk reaction to it.
More evidence she was never a nurse. As if we needed any.

but then don't be bitter if you're poor.

you can't steal your unfounded elitism from others.

its what we call immoral.

have you heard of it?
