Why are we lending Mexico money to pay for the wall?

Why are we financing it? How much interest are we going to charge? What happens if they default?

if you look at his website during the primary and general this is exactly what he said. He even pointed out how he would do it. (taxes on remittances etc)

He said Mexico would pay, not that the American Taxpayer would lend Mexico the money. Who is paying for it? The American Tax Payer. Then Trump will try to get our money back.
