Why is BP taking all the blame?

You're not paying attention to what I wrote, Tom. I didn't say the gov't had sole expertise...I stated that they should NOT have let BP have free reign from the moment this nonsense started....they should have taken the reins and put BP at a table WITH EVERY AND ANY OTHER EXPERTS IN THE RELATED FIELDS to sort things out and get a CONSENSUS on a plan of action.

Instead, they let BP try to handle things until it became obvious that BP was lying about crucial matters....and now we have an ecological disaster with decades of reprocussions to come.

I assumed that they had done that already, I will also say that consensus seldom results in anything other than inaction and dithering as the participants tend to go into arse covering mode rather than getting the job done.

How many BP shares do you own, Limey?

When BP leaves us alone, which nation will you exploit next?

Nobody wants a disaster in their environment. BP's record is not good.

Get out of here.

I don't have any qualms calling you a cunt because you're not a woman anyway, just a sad bastard with nothing better to do than conjure up a shitload of trolls.

Your language is disgusting.

As for your insinuations, you know nothing about me, or anyone else who posts here.

You are certainly brave hiding on the internet.

If my husband could, he'd teach you the same lesson the USA taught England when Lord Cornwallis surrendered.

Why won't you admit that you have a financial interest in BP?

If you weren't so stupid you would know that BP is very important to the UK economy. As for you, I know that virtually all internet trolls are male, between 16-30, inadequate and have massive chips on their shoulders.

Bottom line: Damo is just another neocon parrot with delusions of intellectual superiorty to those who spew the EXACT same BS as he does. Pathetic, yet slightly amusing. :cof1:
Told you, time for the silly links back to posts that have already been refuted.

Thanks, TaiChi, you make it easy! (Time for the victory lap).

I suspect you will again post links to posts that don't make your point and have been addressed several times. Then you'll start getting all excited and cursing while talking about "the chronology of the posts". (hint: It is hard to "refute" the very real chart from the actual government entity you seek to defend, in fact, you haven't done it because they are simple facts.)

It is imminently plain to all of us that you have had your foot in your mouth for the past 100 posts in this thread, but rather than remove it you have tried desperately to fit the other foot in too.

As the chronology of the board shows, YOU made a moronic statement that I shot to pieces using logic based on readily accessible facts.

http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sho...&postcount=374

But since you neither have the maturity or the honesty to just acknowledge that you were proven wrong on that point...you move unto yet another neocon talking point that I disproved earlier on this thread.

http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sho...&postcount=289

Worst, you confuse the EPA with the Jones Act regarding skimmers and ships, and you seem to be totally ignorant as to the information given out by the Coast Guard Admiral on the subject.

Southern Man insipid stubborness based on ignorance strikes again!

Incredible irony here. The Jones Act is an entirely different issue than the 15ppm EPA standard. You're so ignorant of a simple technical issue that you're apparently can't understand what I wrote, and in the simplest language possible.

And your calling the 15ppm issue a "neocon talking point" is laughable if it wasn't so sad. What major politician or talking head has discussed this?

Do you even know what this issue is? Let me try to explain it to you again:

The skimmer ships take a mixture of oil and water off the surface of the ocean. Its a crude process, and this mixture is typically 30 to 70% oil. So for every gallon of oil that you pick up you might have one or two gallons of water to dispose of. The mixture then flows into the ship and into a settling tank. The oil floats to the surface of the tank and the water sinks, like a bottle of salad dressing. In reality this settling process is only 99% or so efficient at separating the oil and water. Common sense would dictate that you should them pump out this water and dump it behind the ship, because even if the water contained 1% oil, it was cleaner then before and is being dumped into a spill area, which itself is contaminated with oil, and the oil might get picked up in a second pass.

But The Obama's EPA insists that the water has to be cleaned to less than 15ppm before being dumped. That requires a land based treatment technology. So the ship has to steam all the way back to port with the mixture of oil and water, stirring up more polluted water, making it harder to skim off, through some booms, causing more oil to be released into adjacent waters. Then it has to pump the water into land based tanks for further treatment, steam back to the soil site, through more booms and then stir up more floating oil....

Its a totally retarded way to clean up an ocean, Libby. It is ineffective, wastes a tremendous amount of resources, and the end result is that very little gets cleaned up relative to what could be done should common sense prevail.

And again, the only person who can stop all this nonsense is your beloved black president, The Obama. :pke:

Every day? All of them? Because there are registered users that DON'T POST on many threads, but read them. I do, and so do others. Thing is, YOU just can't verify what you claim.

No matter how much you try, Southy...your picayune attempts to discredit anything I say just falls apart under simple logic. You such a pathetic person, Southy....you can't get past me in an honest debate on various topics, and your aim at throwing rocks in frustration is abysmal....but such is the plight of the Southern Man. Carry on. :cof1:

See folks....all this Damo does is just keep repeating self aggrandizing tripe that has NO basis in reality. Damo time and again keeps trying to substitute his opinion, supposition and conjecture for FACTS and logic. He fails every time, but Damo figures if he denys all and claims otherwise, no one will notice. :palm: Damo needs to grow the fuck up!

Again folks, Damo makes reference to a chart that he offered as proof of his assertions. Pity the damned fool just INGNORES THE FACT that I used the very same chart to demonstrate Damo's "selective" reporting...and provided the information that basically refuted Damo's original assertion. In short, Damo's either a lame ass liar or truly delusional. But as always, the chronology of the posts will always be his undoing.

It is imminently plain to all of us that you have had your foot in your mouth for the past 100 posts in this thread, but rather than remove it you have tried desperately to fit the other foot in too.

I'll let the little dope have the last word (a predictable collage of repeated disproven claims and personal attacks, as we've already seen Damo do). :cof1:

Try posting something without the phrases neocon parrot and chronology of posts. You know it makes sense.

You can't verify what you claim either Libby. But I have ran one of these boards with this same software- bots scour the boards all the time whether the board owner likes it or not. And this board has interactive advertisement, which means essentially that the board owner invites the ad bots in. They "read" what you write so they can determine the next ad for your next click.

You think you're Walter Cronkite Libby, but we're all here just pissing in the wind.

First off, it was your dumb ass that interjected the meshing of the Jones Act and the 15 ppm, as the chronology of the posts shows. If you have solid proof to the contrary beyond your opinion, then show it.

Secondly, you are not alone in your criticism regarding the 15 ppm role:

Here, I am in agreement with you that bureacracy needs to be given a kick in the ass. I've said this from the beginning.

Oh, and you can jolly well fuck off with the racist bullshit, Southy. The ONLY time you mention the man's color/race is to attach it to a negative. Go wash your pointy hood out somewhere else.

Sorry if accurate labeling and referencing disturbs you....but if the resident jokers on these boards keep talking the talk, they'll get the appropriate label. And if they keep lying about what's transpiring, then I'll just keep making references to the factual evidence that proves them wrong.

I'm just reacting to the situation.

I never even attempted to combine the two issues Libby. Its not up to me to defend your baseless allegation.

Congrats on finally having some common sense on the 15ppm issue. Now all you have to do is realize that The Obama bears responsibility for ordering the EPA to stand down. What other person has that power? I don't think anyone, really, not even the head of the EPA.

I used the term "the black president" because you did, Libby, several weeks ago. If I'm racist for doing so then so are you. :)

Yes I can and have, you dimwit. While you're having a hot flash about "bots", you ignore the FACT that OTHER registered participants besides those participating in on particular discussion are on-line and READ the threads. That, my dimwitted Southern Man, is an audience....deal with it.

Once again folks, I've kicked this dummy Southern Man in the ass, thus further rattling his brain. :cof1:

But it is up to you to prove your claims, asshole. And you claimed I combined the two issues....PROVE IT! Put up or shut up!

Can't you read, you ignorant lout? Didn't I say in no uncertain terms that the bureaucracy needs a kick in the ass? Didn't I say previously that Obama should have pulled a Slick Willy and gotten everyone in a room and throw corporate and gov't protocol rules aside, demanding consensus solutions or rolling heads? Pay ATTENTION!

I used the term "the black president" because you did, Libby, several weeks ago. If I'm racist for doing so then so are you. :)

Interesting how you continually pull these claims out of your ass, but when asked to provide actual proof....all you do is just bluff and bluster. You're a bigoted little coward Southy...and every time I and others expose this, you lie like a rug.

Is TP really Tony Hayward?

Well of course he is.

Other than travelling around the beaches of American gulf states pumping surviving pelicans full of Castrol GTX, where else would you expect to find the CEO of a multi-national oil company than fannying about on a US messageboard during the day?
