Why is BP taking all the blame?

:palm: And there you have it folks....the Southern Man just covers his ears and eyes and parrots the same dreck ad nauseum. I say this because not even the Southern Man could be that stupid as to read my response and then repeat his dreck as if he didn't comprehend what he read.

The Southern Man is has done himself in once again. I leave him to his predictable folly.
Are you denying the facts that I stated, Libby? Only a high ranking elected official can waive the EPA regulations, and that high ranking official is The Obama. He is solely responsible for most of the oil not being skimmed up before it gets to shore.

One simple executive order could have saved billions of dollars, millions of fish and tens of thousands of birds.

Or did you forget the clown apologizing for Obama holding up BP to extortion and all the hoo-la of late from the neocons and teabaggers (with GOP sympathizers) about Obama fascism and such?

Obama should have cleared the red tape and allowed people to begin clean up immediately. Remember what the Admiral said? He wasn't getting the actual applications and such....but as it was proven, there were foreign ships and material in operation in the area....just not in the numbers needed. When even President Clinton is talking about how they "finally" started accepting help you've got an issue that goes beyond all the spin and rhetoric, you've got a leadership gap. As the chronology of the posts shows, Slick Willy was NOT entirely accurate in his off the cuff remark, as the Coast Guard Admiral stated as such. Knowing how terrible he was at even the simplest of things like getting as many people as possible into the water cleaning it up, it would have been a disaster if he had done that.

:palm: Give a rest, Damo. As the chronology of the post shows, I already used FACTS and the logic derived from them to dismantle your anti-Obama hyperbole.

Seriously, if he can't imagine cutting some of the red tape in an emergency, total takeover would have been disastrous. Thank the little gods he was too inept to even attempt that.

Seriously, you're sounding more and more like a neocon parrot....you just keep squawking the same old bullshit DESPITE facts to the contrary.

As the chronology of the board shows, YOU made a moronic statement that I shot to pieces using logic based on readily accessible facts.

But since you neither have the maturity or the honesty to just acknowledge that you were proven wrong on that point...you move unto yet another neocon talking point that I disproved earlier on this thread.

http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sho...&postcount=289

Worst, you confuse the EPA with the Jones Act regarding skimmers and ships, and you seem to be totally ignorant as to the information given out by the Coast Guard Admiral on the subject.

Southern Man insipid stubborness based on ignorance strikes again!

No it doesn't, you are just spouting empty rhetoric now.

Yeah, it does Tom. I have to agree with Yurt here. The vast majority of the fish and shellfish consumed in this country comes from the Gulf, so it not only affects the local fishermen and shrimpers, it affects all of us when we are forced to import what we used to supply ourselves. Not to mention the fact that when the Gulf currents carry the contaminated water around the Florida keys, and it hits the Gulf Stream, it will carry all the way up to the Chesapeake Bay, our second largest source of shellfish. This is already an environmental catastrophe of epic proportions, and we have yet to see its full impact, let alone be able at this early juncture to quantify it.

This is gonna be ucking fugly.

I remember the chart that I posted earlier, the foreign ships didn't enter the arena until after day 55 and all were subject to approval that came late and then only sparingly. That was the government's own chart from the joint information center, it was very clear that I had been right from the beginning. The red tape has kept people with accents from timely help.

The "chronology of the post" simply ignores the actual information given by the government because you still believe in "hope"... Hope is a great thing, but leadership is what we need. Instead of that we have somebody that can't even see that cutting the tape would make things better...

Your "facts" are manufactured out of thin air, your logic based in fallacy, the only thing you have proven is you will do and say anything in your work as an apologist for this Administration. When they deserve criticism, they certainly will get it. I'm just glad this wasn't a hurricane.

When you start talking about the "chronology of the post" we know you've lost the debate and are desperately back-filling. It is even better when you start linking to posts that have already been debunked in later posts. Then we know that even you know you've lost the debate.

You live in fantasy land, if the government had the expertise then they would have used it. It is like saying that NASA fucked up with Apollo 13 so why didn't they get somebody else in to rescue them.

I refer you to the Amoco Cadiz and how that was cleaned in a much shorter timeframe than anyone expected to be possible. In many ways it was worse because the oil, all 1.6 million barrels of it, was discharged into the sea instantly rather than gradually over several months, also the waters are much warmer in the Gulf which aids the bacterial breakdown of the oil considerably. I am willing to bet that in a years time or even less, the Gulf will be back to normal.

There is also the example of Ixtoc 1 which was a much bigger oil spill than Deepwater but seems to have been virtually forgotten about by the US media. That resulted in over 3.3 millions barrels of oil ending up in the Gulf and over 170 miles of US beaches being contaminated.

:palm: Observe folks, like any other intellectually bankrupt neocon parrot, Damo merely waits a week and then repeats DISPROVEN talking points as if they will magically come true. Having kicked his ass several times on this subject, Damo just frustratingly spews out wild accusations and slander along with his repetitions. Here's what's got the little darling in such a tizzy;

Bottom line: Damo is just another neocon parrot with delusions of intellectual superiorty to those who spew the EXACT same BS as he does. Pathetic, yet slightly amusing. :cof1:

You're not paying attention to what I wrote, Tom. I didn't say the gov't had sole expertise...I stated that they should NOT have let BP have free reign from the moment this nonsense started....they should have taken the reins and put BP at a table WITH EVERY AND ANY OTHER EXPERTS IN THE RELATED FIELDS to sort things out and get a CONSENSUS on a plan of action.

Instead, they let BP try to handle things until it became obvious that BP was lying about crucial matters....and now we have an ecological disaster with decades of reprocussions to come.

Who in the fuck are these "folks" you keep refering to?
It can't be anyone that's posting on this board; because they would have already seen this exchange and if they agree with you, they would have already said so.

:palm: go to the top of the page and click on Quick Links....then scroll down to "who's online" and click....it'll give you a list of people who are on-line and scrolling through the threads. At any time there are numerous guests and various users viewing the posts. There's no law that says they have to comment either way...but they are there, reading.

Got it now, Freedumb?

Got it now, you ignorant lapdog? Once again, you've become the Loyal End of someone Freely Dumb!

But judging from the number of postings, in response to your "folks" litany, it appears that no one cares what you say.
Oh-They may reply; but repliing has nothing to do with the post subject matter.

:palm: Freedumb didn't get it, folks.

:palm: Someone needs to clue Freedumb in. I don't expect Guests or other registered posters to comment on everything they read...just as I don't. Nor do I assume Freedumb spends every waking moment commenting on EVERY post and thread he reads (if he did, how pathetic of a life Freedumb must have). But as the JPP system shows, there is an audience for potentially every thread and post on these boards. Nothing wrong with acknowledging them...unless you're an insecure and intellectually bankrupt crank like Freedumb with a decade long axe to grind against someone he swears is not worth reading or responding to.

Freedumb said there was no audience, I proved there was without a doubt. Instead of admitting he's wrong, Freedumb just continues to bluff and bluster....poor, poor pathetic Freedumb. If Freedumb put a third of his energy into actually gathering knowledge to debate the topic honestly, people wouldn't make fun of him so much, and he'd have more self esteem.

Pity Freedumb, dear reader.

And now, "folks", you are able to finaly understand that not only does he not expect anyone to comment; but he isn't getting anyone to comment, on his presentations.
Other then someone leaving a critisism of him (not his posts), he gets zero on the attention scale.

He obviously feels that a crowd of people on a street, are all intending to move in the same direction.

He attempts to use insults and repetative catch phrases, in an obvious attempt to make himself appear to have intelligence and knowledge; unfortunetly, he only makes himself appear to be more of a buffoon then he really is.
