Why do liberals hate disabled people?

No, we are much better. And much smarter. Thats why we get the new farts to do our dirtywork.
The Kaboomers sucked in their youth, and they suck in old age, except they are also hypocrites because they suddenly have discovered that its okay to be getting older.

And we accomplished things. What exactly have you done?

Like what? Can't think of much boomers accomplished. Computer revolution, I guess.

Well, we basically took the protest to an art form, and had the federal government scared.

We had them reform education.

We passed Roe v Wade.

We taught the rest of the USA that sex was ok. (HIV was not the baby boomers, it is a mutant virus from having sex with monkeys - in other words, not started here)

We desgregated the South.

We took TV from a few broadcast channels to the incredible number of cable channels we have now.

We revolutionized communications with the cell phone.

We brought you the best in music, from the Beatles to Elvis to Buddy Holly to Hendrix to Chuck Berry to Iggy Pop to David Bowie.

We shook up politics like no one else. We caused a president to resign in shame.

We enforced the separation of church & state to a greater degree (basically took it to where you are now)

We brought the environmental movement out and into popular culture.

We taught the rest of the nation to question authority like it was never done before.

I could go on, but I think you get the message.

Graduated from college. Which beats out many Kaboomers, who died from bad acid and VD. Oh, yeah, thanx a bunch for making sex a health risk - your greatest accomplishment.

Congrats

By the way, you are welcome. If you used pell grants or student loans you are following in the steps of baby boomers.

Getting older sure beats the heck out of the only alternative.
Young whippersnappers have not figured that out yet.

Well, we basically took the protest to an art form, and had the federal government scared.

I don't think Thoreau, MLK or Ghandi were boomers.

We had them reform education.

Explain.

We passed Roe v Wade.

Passed? Which of the justices in the majority was a boomer? Maybe Roe was.

We taught the rest of the USA that sex was ok. (HIV was not the baby boomers, it is a mutant virus from having sex with monkeys - in other words, not started here)

The sexual looseness led to a spread in STDs and did some damage to the family structure. While I certainly do not believe a puritanical view of sex is healthy, neither was the extremes of the boomers.

We desegregated the South.

Do you mean schools, workplaces and neighborhoods? Most of the leadership on desegregation was from generations prior to boomers. Many boomers served in those struggles but to credit them for any successes is debatable. In many ways, we still have segregation in all parts of this nation.

I already gave you some credit on tech advancements. But come on, that is to be expected.

Many of the musicians you note were solidly in prior generations, but okay you made some decent music. You made some pretty shitty music too. And again, I don't think this earth shaking stuff. Nearly every generation has artists of merit.

Besides all this, who cares? What your generation did no more says anything about you as an individual than what your race says about you.

You claimed that she responded to her parents. But the medical facts dispute that. Her parents were just grasping at straws

Excuse me, but there is the matter of the video evidence, where Terri was following a balloon around the room with her eyes, with a smile on her face. Her parents said that she experienced joy and sadness, as well as many other common human emotions. She was not a vegetable. Had she been in a vegetative state, she would not have been conscious, and had that been the case, I might be inclined to agree with the decision to end her life, if I knew this was her wish.

This was a judicial travesty because Terri Schiavo had ZERO representation. Her "husband" was her executor, AND her executioner. Her parents were completely shut out of the "legal" process. They had reams of testimony from health care workers, administrators, and doctors, who could have contradicted the clinical assumptions presented by her "husband" but they were not allowed to present this in court.

Regardless of her clinical conditions, regardless of her "husband's" need to put her to death and walk away from it all, Terri deserved representation and a chance to live, if her parents, (who produced her) didn't want her to die.
