Where's the calls for jail time for this wife beater?

Imagine what he does to her when NO ONE can see it

to do this in public shows his true character

I agree. I can only imagine how abusive you are in real life, judging by how despicable you are on an anonymous message board. Scary shit.

I generally ask for the item to be returned and he generally returns it.

If a person won’t return an item to you, you should wait till they do, or call someone else to appeal to them to return the phone. I, nor my husband, would ever wrestle an item from the other or any other person for that matter, under these circumstances. There are times when it is warranted, if someone’s trying to harm themselves, but not merely because you want the item returned when you demand it, that’s being abusive.

It’s why I don’t think this is the first encounter this couple has had with one another. The interaction shows problems in their marriage.

uh, yeah. Cool.
Phan: "I generally ask for the item to be returned and he generally returns it."
Jack: That's nice. I'm sure you have a wonderful marriage. (I won't bother to ask why he takes YOUR shit in the first place, I think that is called STEALING)

Yes, it is important. It is difficult to overlook the video evidence, which Cypress could have viewed in less time than it took to admit that he had not seen it.

What would you do if you were a prosecutor?

Figure it's a wife and husband arguing over a phone. They're grown people. Are either 'complaining'?

She was wrong to grab the phone, but he was a fool to react the way he did.

Have YOU considered setting up some Company that might be able to create these perfect human beings you seem enthralled with? Maybe call it 'Stepford People'?

This People I associate with aren’t perfect, we just respect each other and have manners.

As I said, Jack, she might refuse to cooperate with the authorities.

I disagree with the OP claim that this is a racial issue. It appears to be a class issue. As in, wouldn't average Joe be scrounging for bail money and hoping for a decent public defender?

I don't know about California law, but where I live, from the moment someone is arrested for domestic violence there can be no contact. None!

This sounds like a big Tadoo about nothing.
Like, let's say your girlfriend is suspected of cheating on you. You grab her phone and start looking through it. She screams at you to give it back. You run off and keep looking for proof. She catches up with you and chokes you out and gets her phone back from your motionless body. When you finally come to, are YOU going to call the Police on HER?

He hasn't been arrested. No charges have been filed.

You almost described the Tiger Woods incident when his wife got a hold of his phone and found out he was cheating.

That right there is " Dear, how about we go on a boat ride tonight??"......

There must be more of that video that we have not seen. Otherwise that spectator would have been "lucky" to capture those 20 seconds. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this.

It will continue to be in the news as he just stepped away from his role as team's CEO while they investigate. Ultimately the OP is just stupid as there is no way someone is going to jail over the video we've all seen.

Edit: You have to remember this is San Francisco. To live here is to hear people argue all the time in the street. Now granted it's usually not someone as well known as Larry Baer but my point is to hear people arguing isn't a natural instinct to turn on your camera and record.
