when cops dont' care about the law

We saw the video. He assaulted her.

Yes, what I saw was a fat ass, donut eating cop getting angry that a nurse would not comply with his demands, and he let his anger take over and roughed her up.

I do not even think he was listening to what she was saying - that state policy prohibited her from doing it. All his mind heard was somebody refusing to comply with his demands.

To sum it up, never ever make a mistake, according to all the 150% perfect people who judge without knowing not even half the story.

WTF? A mistake? The officer knew what it took to get the blood sample. Either a warrant, patient consent, or having the patient under arrest. You notice the cop didn't arrest the guy. He didn't want a charge of false arrest on him.

This was a blatant disregard for the law nad the man's constitutional rights. It was not a "mistake". It was a crime.

We all know the story. Hospitals have protocols. Just as police precincts do. If you marched into a precinct and demanded that they break protocol, what do you think would happen?

This is the LAW. It isn't just some nurse's whim. She's LEGALLY LIABLE if she breaks these laws.

That detective should be walking a beat.
He should be fired, and charged with assault.

Just saw another video with her on speaker with the hospital administrator. They were both very polite to the detective, and the admin. even went as far as to tell the cop that he was making a mistake.

It shows the assault, in detail. I hadn't seen this one before.

Now the detective is under criminal investigation, and on 'administrative leave' along with the other cops on the scene.

Could you link to it please?

none of the cops on that scene were 'good' cops. they all allowed an obviously unlawful arrest happen because it was one of their own, 'just following orders'.

I'd have shot him for attempted kidnapping

That is because they are probably use to seeing this fool act out on ppl & they have prob done it themselves....

Had you or I did something like that we would be in jail, a cop does it &???

I know many of them, & unfortunately some can tend to think they are the law & their feelings are mere extensions of it..

Sadly many in our society are defenseless against these thugs w/ a badge.. The very ones WE PAY TO PROTECT US will protect each other far quicker than they will us, the enemy...

Technically, uniforms are required to obey the orders of detectives.

I think the uniforms might have been hospital security? At the end of the vid, you can see one of them actually attempting to get the rogue detective to back down.

That must be the one I saw, it was very disturbing. Nothing she did or said warranted the treatment she received.

I expect her to sue for damages. The way he wrenched her arm behind her back, I'm guessing she's sustained injuries. It's hard enough lifting overweight patients without the problems she no doubt now has with that shoulder/elbow.

If this were a younger stronger nurse, I'm thinking he/she would have had free rein to defend him/herself against that attack. Personally, I would have knocked that detective out cold if he came at me like that.

the law says he has no legal right to that injuered persons bodily fluids without the patients consent.

THAT IS THE LAW

he is tasked with knowing the law in his JOB

the patient was NOT awake to give consent

GET IT

if she had done it SHE WOULD BE SUED IDIOT

THAT IS THE LAW

its cut and dry you nazi

you don't need to be a lawyer to know the law. remember, ignorance of the law is NO EXCUSE!!!! you support that axiom, right?

the only fact you need to know is that the US Supreme Court, last year, decided that ALL blood draws require a warrant. end of story.

read the post I quoted and you'll see i'm on topic. thanks.

A petty thug w/ a badge.... Imagine how many others this monster has assaulted & ruined lives of innocent ppl just to get his shit off..........

9.9 times out of 10 you would be doing serious time~if not for this being on camera......... Even if you were in the right totally........

The idiot detective has been 'reassigned' with pay. They should bust him back to patrol. He needed that guy's blood alcohol level, and he needed it now. Why the hell should he care about the law, hospital protocol, or that nurse's liability?

So you stupidly believe he isn't going to be disciplined?
