Which is where I get off the Christianity train. I would rather do something constructive than try to define orthodoxy by whatever means, broad or narrow. Like I said, two billion Christians, lots of ideas about what the book says. Even if one were to look at just dispensational theology and Dallas theological Seminary, Christianity changes in its understanding from Schofield to Ryrie to modern dispensational thought.

the cunt is correct in this assessment....I am willing to give credit when credit is due.....you and the Rev Phelps are wrong to claim that only a literal interpretation of the Bible can be considered.....

Phil Robertson's comments appeared inflammatory. He represents those companies because those companies pay him so much money (as per contract). This is why companies that employ you give you a contract. Phil Robertson is not free to be a bigot or a racist. If that was the case they wouldn't pay him a cent. If you ever worked for a McDonalds or a grocery store you ought to read that fine print. You aren't free to say what you think pubically.

am I impacted negatively when the government tells me I must consider an abnormal relationship to be the equivalent of marriage?......why just this week some liberal posted that all of society suffers when conservatives object to gay marriage.....I would suspect the same argument works both ways.......did society suffer when the government decided that killing unborn children was no longer murder?........

And this is really the crux of the matter. I am an electrician by trade. We were doing some work for a local Pepsi bottling plant. One of the Pepsi drivers got fired because he had Coca Cola in his home fridge. You work for a company, you play by their rules. I have a friend who is straight who worked for a company that was owned by gay men. They decided that all of the corporate meeting would be held in the hot tub in the buff. My friend quit. You work for a company, you follow their rules.
