What Phil Robertson DID do

do you have a quote in red where Jesus makes that distinction or are we to take your word for it?

????....odd....I'm certain they covered this in the seminary you graduated from....

Matthew 5
18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

theological distinction....

The term Old Law is used, by many, to refer to both the Ten Commandments of God, which are sometimes called the Mosaic Law, or Code, and to the Ritualistic Law, also called Levitical Law. The use of the title, Old Law, is misleading. The implication is that these two sets of laws have been set aside, or have been replaced. We know that according to Jesus' statement recorded in Mat 5:18, that this is not true,
- " For truly I say to you, Till the heaven and the earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in any way pass from the Law until all is fulfilled."

Ritualistic, or Levitical Law can be broken down into the Sacrificial Law, or Law of Atonement and the Law of Purification. There are, among Christians, those who still subscribe to following one, or both, portions of the Law of Leviticus, Ritualistic Law. However, as we look at both portions of Levitical Law, it will become clear that the Child of God no longer need be concerned with the requirements of this Law. At the same time, it needs to be understood that the Mosaic Law, the Ten Commandments of God, God's standard of conduct for His people, must be followed.

Odd that the religion that Moses was a member of considers Mosaic Law to be all of the laws written in the Torah, which they believe was written by Moses. Nothing Jesus said made a distinction between the ten commandments and the rest of the commandments that Moses jotted down.

odd that Judaism and Christianity are different religions?.......perhaps in your view....not in mine......

so, if you make no distinction you must either believe Christians are bound by the laws of sacrifice and purification or, we are no longer bound by the Ten Commandments.......which is it?......

If Mosaic law died away, please explain, again, the words in red from the NEW Covenant, that show where Jesus talked about abortion.

still waiting for you to show me where Jesus made a distinction between the ten commandments and the rest of the laws that Moses wrote....

will I have to wait long? I'll go make some coffee in that case.

???....didn't I just point out that the Mosaic law DIDN'T die away?.....do you think Jesus changed his mind in 1972?.....

so the passage in Hebrews about the Old Covenant dying away was.... what? A LIE?

And again... where does Jesus make a distinction between the first ten and the rest of the 621 Mosaic laws?

so since it is inarguable that he sustained the Ten Commandments and you believe he didn't distinguish between those and the laws of atonement and purification, do you then believe that we are still bound by the laws of atonement and purification?.......or do you concede that even the UCC teaches there was a distinction.....

there aren't 621 Mosaic Laws.....that is the Levitical Code, as you are well aware.....the UCC teaches the exact same thing I am referring to, why do you pretend otherwise?......

the funny thing is there are many religions in the USA.

we don't have to follow ONE religions code in this country.

religion was designed OUT of this government
