The right to life of the unborn child is a God given right.
We're not a theocracy.
Nobody is required to believe in God,
most of our smarter citizens don't,
so come up with something better than that.
The right to life of the unborn child is a God given right.
There is an oak tree developing from the moment the bud of an acorn forms. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THERE IS AN OAK TREE THERE.
A woman with a pregnancy occurring in her own body should not lose authority over her body because the government decides it wants that authority for itself. If the woman decides she wants to terminate the pregnancy, she should be able to do so legally...and with the safety that legality provides.
If the people who want to rule someone else's body finally grok that...the world will become a better place.
It does unless it's removed....A woman can decide to terminate her child..I'm sure you can understand that there are those of us who feel differently than you do about this unborn child..especially those of us who have children and experienced pregnancy...... (I cannot believe you used the word "grok"...I think too highly of you to have to see you type that....)

We're not a theocracy.
Nobody is required to believe in God,
most of our smarter citizens don't,

That didn't take long....![]()
A woman can decide to terminate a pregnancy occurring in her own body...and should be able to do so legally...and with the safety that legality helps provide. You and others of your same mind may want to word your remarks the way you are because wording it more accurately weakens your arguments.
YES...I GROK THAT. Why are you so unable to understand that there are those of us who feel differently than you about whether an UNDENIABLE LIVING HUMAN WOMAN who wants to terminate a pregnancy occurring in her own body should be able to do so legally...and with the safety that legality helps provide?
What do you see as demeaning about that word? It is used by intelligent people to denote understanding in depth...often through intuition or empathy. I use it often...and honestly see nothing to be ashamed of about using it.

Indeed...Is that just one of the strangest thing you've ever seen on a political forum? The Mujer de Bujo has returned from her nocturnal flight in search of rats, mice and snakes...all toxic.
Don't you understand your own comments? You concluded by saying, "it doesn't make sense"
On the issue at hand, if society regarded a fetus as a child then abortion would be, and would always have been, first degree murder in every state. So all of this "unborn child" argument is blather.
Indeed...Is that just one of the strangest thing you've ever seen on a political forum?
I don't give a fat fuck about our demented SCOTUS, you know that, right?
The discussion is not about what the more primitive parts of our crumbling republic are doing.
They've always been able to fuck up a two-car funeral.
The discussion is about whether those Handmaid Tales laws are barbaric,
which of course they are
in the minds of anyone who went to a better school than fucking Vanderbilt
and any other part of the Grand Ole Opry theme park.
Fucking crackers.
We shouldn't have to tolerate them.
There is no child in the womb. Often an abortion merely expels a clump of cells. It is no more a living human than is a cancer tumor.
A half-wit cretin like you who posted that Florida should be "Shermaned" could be considered a barbarian.

Yes, I agree, anyone who wants to "Sherman" Florida is a half-wit, uneducated cretin...and a fucking asshole. But in a good way, right?
<fucking asshole>
You should know better than what you think, TOP. But I suspect some kind of religious thing is in play. For most abortions...all that is being aborted is a clump of cells. If that could finally be acknowledged, some progress might take place. But as long as your side wants to describe a zygote as a living human...no further progress will ever occur. And while you may think your side has made recent progress...it is ephemeral.
Broad support for abortion rights: Gallup polls show Americans’ support for abortion in all or most cases at 85% as of May 2022, higher than when polling began in 1975 (76%), and the Pew Research Center finds 62% of adults believe abortion should be legal, compared to 60% in 1995—though there has been fluctuation, with support dropping to a low of 47% in 2009.
Support remains steady post-Dobbs: Americans’ broad support for abortion has largely remained steady since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last June in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, with Pew’s polling finding that it went up from 61% in March 2022 to 62% in July, after the court’s ruling, and a Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) poll finding that while support for abortion has broadly grown since 2010 (now at 64%), there was little change in the months before and after the court’s ruling.
The "lump of cells" phase of life has no agreed upon definition.
if the clump is wanted and celebrated, it's a coming baby.
If it's not, it's virtually a malignant tumor.
What we must remember is that the clump doesn't give a fat flying fuck--it definitely doesn't--
so the host mother is the only one with a right to decide.
How is this not obvious?
I really don't understand the very damaged thought process of some people.
We're not a theocracy.

He did. He gave you one of his special impotent groans. He has the maturity of a typical 3rd grader. lol
Indeed.
She swoops in with her demented posts in hand.
She's a hate filled, pathetic old woman.

A half-wit cretin like you who posted that Florida should be "Shermaned" (sic) could be considered a barbarian.
Half-wit, uneducated cretins aren't allowed on Vandy's campus.
