So, you're not sure if the intelligence has any value to the Russians?
Are we clear on that?
I actually think it's hilarious that you think this is what is important about this story.
So, you're not sure if the intelligence has any value to the Russians?
Are we clear on that?
I'll hop in, just this once, to school you: WaPo was very careful to only report that Trump divulged the information. They did NOT divulge the exact information - which is the crux of this controversy. What Trump divulged had nothing to do w/ what Russia might do w/ the information. What it did was potentially expose the source of the intel (something WaPo did NOT do), which is something a President should not do.
So, thread fail. Oh - and Darth, please note again that this has nothing to do with what Russia would do w/ the intel.
Okay, that's that.
The information the president relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government, officials said.
The partner had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia, and officials said Trump’s decision to do so endangers cooperation from an ally that has access to the inner workings of the Islamic State.
The First Amendment protects the right to aid our enemies?
Cite.
Okay, if you claim he didn't lie, what is the issue? He and the others dispute the press reports. Why do you believe some anonymous source over the people who were actually there?
Edit: are you saying he lied or didn't lie? Also, I saw his press briefing and he repeatedly said that what Trump shared was "wholly appropriate". How do you know he is wrong?
I believed you. :0)
McMaster said "The premise of that article is false." He didn't say the entirety of the article is false and he wouldn't confirm or deny that Trump revealed classified information to the Russians. Also, the WH immediately reached out to the CIA and the NSA to let them know what the president had revealed. McMaster said that was done merely out of an "overabundance of caution."
So you are claiming that Trump aided our enemies?
What does premise mean to you?
The basis without all supporting details.
No.
Now, answer my question.
it has no value to Russian ( the source/location)So, you're not sure if the intelligence has any value to the Russians?
Are we clear on that?
Non sequitur.
If Trump didn't do damage then how can reporting what Trump did cause damage?
I don't believe the wapo article aided our enemies.
That is my answer.
Okay, then he didn't lie, did he?
Using Catholic-speak what McMasters did is the equivalent of a sin of omission. Nobody in the WH categorically denied that trump leaked classified into. Instead they talked around it and tried to lessen the gravity with a lot of extraneous fluff.
