That’s fine, but my point wasn’t about who should run for president.

I don’t want to beat a dead horse so I’ll drop it after this, but national Democrats are clearly watching the race because it exposes real tension inside the party. A Democrat will be mayor of NYC either way, but tying it back to the OP the party could win the battle and lose the war if it’s Mamdani.

I believe that’s likely, my only point was that it would be ridiculous to fall for the claim that Mamdami somehow represents the rank and file democrat.

I believe the diversity of the Democratic Party is part of its strength.

It could, sure. And Trump could absolutely bonkers tomorrow or die, and the MAGA will dissolve because no one else is 1/10th force as El Orangeo. If.
