So economics has a male and female component to it? Did Davis have an Econ101 for women and a different class for men?
what?
So economics has a male and female component to it? Did Davis have an Econ101 for women and a different class for men?
So according to desh, I'm an asshole and not a dictionary
Also, I'm not allowed to "redefine" words, but according to you, SHE can
Desh has generally been correct about anything that she can observe within a 10 foot radius. Anything outside that circle, she's gonna be "generally" wrong. One thing she's right about, the term unfettered capitalism is widely used, in journalism, in economics, and yes, even the Pope used it. And they all used the word incorrectly. THAT was the point of my reply. If she would have said "Unregulated capitalism is evil", I would probably have said "gee, Captain Obvious, ya think?", and moved on. But I didn't know that she was the only one allowed to use the words and shades of meaning she wants to, while I am not.
a democratic government ,you mean mob rule where the rights of the many trample the rights of the few.
we are however a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC,thank GOD.
we are a democracy
stop lying
you dont get to redefine words asshole
it quicky degrades into monopolies that destroy any democracy
Capitalism WORKS GREAT
when it is properly fettered by Democratic Government
yes we need to keep it well fettered
every time you shits deregulate it the shit falls appart and citizens get screwed.
like when you deregulated the banks
and the energy sector in cali
your penchant for deregulation fucks us every time
from the mouths Of the REPUBLICAN BUSH people themselves.
DEREGULATION CAUSED THE CRASH
Rightwing posters here routinely call black posters n*ggers and female posters c*nts, and this is what you choose to complain about??
Why shouldn't she post her own thread? The salient issue she makes is that we don't really even have capitalism in this country.
The capitalism that existed in the 19th century was so intolerable, so inhumane to the overwhelmingly majority of people, that capitalism had to change. It was forced to change into a more humane hybrid version of a social welfare state with a free market -- because capitalism had to respond to pressure from socialists, progressives, radicals, unionists, and reformers.
So, to the extent we can even celebrate the more humane version of the free market we have today, we can thank lefties and progressives for that. Rightwingers did not lift a finger to make capitalism more humane.
china is losening its regulation on capitalism because they realized the beautiful parts of capitalism.
It now producing for them good results
they did have to pull back from time to time when their CEOs poisened animals with bad food because of the CEOs greed.
things like that
overall they still have way more goverenment control over commerse than the US does huh
Which party always wants to deregulate as an answer to a problem?
Jimmy Carter deregulated
Bill Clinton deregulated
Some of the largest deregulation efforts were done at the hands of DEMOCRATS
we are a democracy
stop lying
you dont get to redefine words asshole
The republicans are the deregulation party
pretending that is not true makes you a lying piece of shit
Unfettered capitalism, like socialism, is a bad way to run a country. Evil? Well, anything dialed to an extreme could be considered evil.
The economy should be regulated capitalism until society evolves beyond the need to accumulate money.
In conclusion, libertarianism is a go-nowhere ideology that implodes when the rubber meets the road. A society built on libertarianism cannot exist in this space-time continuum.
