Uncle Sugar

I wonder how women will feel about Mr. Huckabee's thoughts on Democrats and how they feel women need Uncle Sugar to buy their birth control because they can't control their libido.

I know there are posters who think the word projection is overused, but I think Huckabee has projected his feelings of this subject matter onto the Democrats.

I can't wait to see where this goes! Lol
Yea....that's how you win womens votes. Good lord. What a backwards mysognest. This is the kind of backward looking people The GOP wants? Someone who wants to drag the nation back to the 19th Century?

I agree that this is projection by Huckabee and that the truth really is that Huckabee beleives women should be chattel property and that the best way to keep women property is to deny them a say in their reproductive rights.

Wow....backward yokels like Huckabee are who the GOP needs to distance themselves from.

If Huckabee said anything that would deny women their "reproductive rights" he is totally wrong...but I must have missed that part....what was it exactly.

Don't they pay for the insurance?

Or isn't the insurance supplied by employers part of the benefits they earn?

I imagine there is still a copay as there is with all prescription drugs.

The ACA just stipulates that birth control needs to be covered by insurance.
I consider my health insurance as part of my compensation. It is not given to me. I have earned it and I paid for it through my productive efforts.

Can you understand what you read? Dude, when you pay a premium for health insurance every month the medication you purchase via your insurance policy is not FREE! You have paid for it.

You're absolutely right.....if you pay that premium....if.....I agree totally.

Now can you grasp what this particular thread is about ?

There is no co-pay for birth control, but, yes, there are still premium payments that insureds must pay. So, no, it ain't free.

Also, too, I hope Huckabee runs for the Republican nomination again. He's like a turd that won't flush.
Hucks not a bad guy....he's just 140 years to late to be politically relevent.

It seems to me what Huckabee is saying is that Republican women are better because they can keep there legs closed? Or that under a Republican health care plan, poor women will be required to refrain from being sluts?
No he's saying that women should be chattel property.

what's so controversial about this? I don't get it.

Isn't that true?

this is all true. you want to be takers and have your birth control subsidized. it doesn't fall out of the sky.
Oh please spare us the Ayne Rand nonsense. From an underwriting stand point providing contraception at no cost under coverage will earn insurance companies far more than it will cost them to pay for the contraceptives. Stay out of business Grind...it's obviously not your cup of tea.

Well that's just it buddy...we subsidize the poor cause it costs to freaken much when they show up at the emergency room. Subsidizing contraception will probably save $1000 for every $1 spent on contraceptives. Do the math son!

[h=2]Huckabee: Dems say women ‘can’t control their libido’ without birth control from ‘Uncle Sugar’[/h] …“I think it’s time Republicans no longer accept listening to the Democrats talk about a ‘war on women,’” Huckabee said. “Because the fact is, the Republicans don’t have a war on women. They have a war for women.”…

Amazing that Republicans are wasting words defending Huckabee. A reminder that that is an off-year election & they expect no one to vote.- LOLGOP

With the exception of churches and houses of worship, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act mandates contraceptive coverage for all employers and educational institutions, even though the mandate itself is not included in the wording of the law(s) passed by Congress. The mandate applies to all new health insurance plans effective August 2012. It controversially includes Christian hospitals, Christian charities, Catholic universities, and other enterprises owned or controlled by religious organizations that oppose contraception on doctrinal grounds. Regulations made under the act rely on the recommendations of the Institute of Medicine, which concluded that birth control is medically necessary "to ensure women's health and well-being."

Are you claiming the above statement is false or incomplete ?

They're mandated to offer it, not to give it away free.

She sure does....I agree....but don't come to the taxpayers to pay for it....not for contraceptives and not for abortions.... IF they are medically necessary for a medical
problem...then her insurance should be the ones that cover the expense, thats wtf she has insurance for...medical problems.

If only women could rely on men to take an equal share of the birth control responsibility...

Birth control drugs used for contraception is not medicine....Medicine is any drug or remedy for use in treating, preventing, or alleviating the symptoms of disease

Birth control drugs used for a medical problem is.....

pregnancy is not a disease, not a sickness.....

These are not concepts....these are facts.

Now's your chance to explain how Viagra is necessary for medical problems unrelated to erectile dysfunction.
