U.S. Sam is a Sucker

It's not just trump. It's the MAGA crowd
Rand Paul, Biggs afew other Congresspersons,as well as celebrities like Carlson and Ingram, Greenwald

Does that give you a clue what Trump would be doing about it if he really had won in 2020?

NOTHING.

Putin would have a free hand. And every half-assed dictator would think: if Putin can get away with it, so can I.

I get the impression that's what you want.

America first, eh? If the original America Firsters had had their way, half the world would be under Nazism.

more projection

I didn't call Putin a communist or a nazi. He's a traditional Russian imperialist with a thriving sideline in kleptocracy.

I dont want to be at war with Russia

Nobody does - that's why the Biden administration refused to impose a no-fly zone in Ukraine, and they were right.

Now, if Trump were president, what would he be doing different? Indeed, what would he be doing apart from NOTHING? And is that what you want?

There were 57 Republican Congress critters that voted against the aid

You just said it all right there, "it's the MAGA crowd; Paul, Biggs, Carlson, Ingram, and Greenwald," most who also still think the election was crooked and January 6th was just another day in DC. Called demagoguery, simple answers to difficult questions, if not for the buck, for personal political gain

I dont want to be at war with Russia, and especially dont want to pay 8x more then the EU for it

Not true, all of the individuals you mentioned still refuse to recognize the Big Lie as the Big Lie, and all of them have downplayed the events of January 6th, not demagoguery, fact

And unless you know something I don't, we aren't at war with Russia, and if we were, it would cost a hell'va lot more than fifty million dollars

Fuck off, shitbird. None of that makes anybody's world go 'round. Democrats cheating the election and installing a Weekend at Bernie's motherfucker is hurting most Americans right fucking

now, you piece of dogshit. Go take a long walk off a short pier into tiger shark infested water, ok?

You are a useless piece of shit.

Oh damn, one of the fellers today said he was bitching about 58 cents a gallon gas when he first moved here. :palm: (from a different American state)

Gas was fine for 80 years until Carter, and then Bush with the diesel fuckery, wtf was that about?

That was definitely an intentional Bah Fongula to Americans.

Diesel always used to be a little more than half the price of gas for around a century. It's a byproduct of refining gas.

True story, look it up!

$54 billion (not million) can easily run a proxy war. do you have any idea of the quantity
of expensive high tech weapons we've given ( by Lend Lease) to Ukraine? obviously not

The $40 billion Rand Paul has stalled passage will probably get thru the Senate this week
I bet yours and mine bottom dollar they'll be back for more soon enough - they are committed to "victory"
https://www.politico.com/news/2022/04/26/austin-ukraine-victory-russia-war-00027737
“Ukraine clearly believes that it can win, and so does everyone here,” Austin said at the meeting of defense ministers, adding: “Ukraine needs our help to win today. And they will still need our help when the war is over.” (Austin)
54 billion is more then it costs for a year of funding our Marine Corps
Yes indeed we are warring against Russia.

Not our "boots"
but training , real time intelligence, logistical support and baskets full of our most advanced weaponry

If you think it's worth it to war against Russia we can have that discussion,
but dont delude yourself otherwise we aren't in a hot war against Russia

starting to see a few FB posts objecting to the Money Pit of Ukraine.
Typically it's 'so we protect Uk borders but not our own"

Protecting Uk "border" is just lines on a map anyways.
historically you cant separate Uk east of the Dnieper from Russia
You can just draw lines on a map
that's what we are warring about?? puuuleese

The 1973 Oil Crisis can hardly be blamed on Carter, who came to office 4 years later.

Nixon price controls..the same price controls Carter expounded upon in addition to stopping domestic drilling and increased relying on OPEC.

U.S. Sam is a Sucker

EU to provide 500 million new euro military aid to Ukraine
https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...euro-military-aid-ukraine-borrell-2022-05-13/
<then 1/8th the amount of what Congress is sending this round

Total spent by EU is € 2billion / US total is $54 billion

First, all Americans know it's not US Sam; it's the initials from US: Uncle Sam. It's obvious why Russian agents wouldn't be familiar with US culture.

Second, it's a matter of percentages. The US is reluctant to take immigrants due to internal politics so the Euros are shouldering that burden and doing it very well. The US is simply doing what we do best: throw money at it and not do anything else.

I think the EU's primary role has been housing and supporting Ukrainian refugees. Poland, alone, has taken in well over 3 million Ukrainian refugees, and the rest of the EU has also taken in large numbers (e.g., 700,000 in Germany). The last I heard, the US was saying we'd be open to housing up to 100,000 Ukrainian refugees, but I don't believe we've taken many yet (just 15,000 as of late April). So, this is a situation where the US is doing the lion's share of supporting the war effort, while the EU is doing the lion's share of addressing the humanitarian crisis.

not our war, but we cant help ourselves.. The goal is regime change (as always) in Russia

20,000 Ukrainians jumped U.S. border in April
