Obama had his warts but I think he was sincere about pulling out of Afghanistan and the Middle East more generally. I can’t explain the bromance with Iran though.

And of course, pulling troops out of Syria isn’t closing down air bases in Qatar. And we’ll likely never get to that point but Trump’s actions on Syria and Afghanistan are not insignificant—you can tell by the reaction of the Establishment.

Obama made a deal with Putin to not attack Assad if Assad destroyed his WMD's. (or more truly, the WMD's he was supposed to have) (the term WMD is questionable to begin with) And since then the US has tried to convince the world that Assad reneged on the deal. The world didn't buy it!

Assad complied with the demands and between Obama and Putin, the legs were cut out from under the US's plans for war. Obama knew that the stage was being set for another Iraq swindle and he was too smart to let that happen. Obama could truly be called a traitor to his country. A good traitor because he prevented the planned war!

Obama and Putin together snookered the US and it's war plans, thereby giveing Russia/Putin the time and opportunity to establish a strong military presense in Syria, and that changed the course of history in the ME forever. Even Iran is now off the PNAC agenda!
