Turkey masses tanks on the Syrian border as Erdogan 'prepares to move against Kurds

first off they are massing against ISIS and the Kurds. But whatever they do it's on them .
Mission creep is staying there to hold back the Turks -which puts us there indefinately,
and which is NOT the reason we went in.

I don't want us there to be between the Kurds and Turks, just like I don't want NATO in the Black Sea
between Russians an Ukraine

Good, now France and the EU aristocracy have targets ... and an excuse ... to use their air force.

I guess it will be a few more days before Trump can remove US Forces from our SDF allies.
As the Turks invade Syria and begin slaughtering the men, women, and children of our staunch allies, will anyone take note that those people are the ones that have been waging War against ISIS? Will anyone wonder if ISIS can now regroup?

anatta will not be putting much thought into it.

not really, if they do we go in a smash them like bugs.

Kurds have already said as long as we have their backs, provide them with logistics, they can handle this from here

#MAGA, another promise kept

BJ for the Ring: "Kurds have already said as long as we have their backs"
Jack: Uh, yeah. I don't think deserting them as Turkey plans on killing every single Kurd in sight is "having their back". (just an opinion)

What nation would ever rely on the US or trust them as an ally?

Trump has pretty much alienated those allies who together have pretty maintained a stable world order since WWII, striking up friendships with just about every autocrat in the world, and here going even further by actually turning his back on one of the few fighting partners the US has in the Middle East

"As part of the agreement, America will take back weapons it gave to the Kurdish forces during the fight with ISIS."

"In return, Erdogan vowed to delay a military campaign against the Kurds, but on Tuesday foreign minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu indicated it would go ahead as soon as practically possible."
from Havana link

This makes no sense at all.

NATO is stronger then ever. our alliances are in tact.. why did we go into Syria?
It wasn't to protect Kurds. The Kurds are subject to Turkey, we are not going to stop Turkey

Sure it does, Trump is selling out the Kurds to make Erdogan happy, he is getting played by another autocrat, probably wants to build a hotel in Istanbul down the road

"Elsewhere, Syrian government troops backed by Russian forces sent extra troops towards the city of Manbij in preparation for an attack."

Maybe we should just give the weapons we take from our SDF allies and give them to the Russians?

Hmmmm ... Trump Hotel and Golf Resort Istanbul. Yeah. That makes sense. Good Thinking.

They are? Interesting, China is making inroads all over the world including the EU and Asia where previously they weren't accepted with open arms and your telling us everything is running as usual?

We backed and supported the Kurds to do our combat fighting in Syria just as we did in Iraq, without them, ISIS would not be minimalized as they are today, and now Trump is pretty much giving Syria, Iran, Russia, and Turkey full power to dispose of the Kurds anyway they chose. And you don't think a lot of nations as say Japan aren't noticing?

where did I say everything is running "as normal"

In regards to China though our strategic treaties are helping to push back China from it's claim in the S.China Sea.
Vietnam is our new best friend because of that. Which has nothing to do with Syria

JAPAN???? WTF??
~~
what happens in Syria is not in our national interest -it never has been in terms of putting troops in.
Russia and Iran are ALREADY Calling the shots! it's Turkey's border -not ours.
WTF do you think we can do to stop them with 2000k troops?
