The judge for my Trump U case can't be impartial because he's Mexican?
How is that racist?

He's saying a Mexican cannot be impartial.
OK, How is that racist?
Do you believe that a human being is incapable of being impartial, on the basis that said human being is Mexican?

There is a theory out there that he really didn't want to be President. He wanted to get in the campaign to shake things up, but never thought he'd actually get the nomination.
And it really seems that way. It's almost like he's playing w/ the public & the media now...how far can he take it? I mean, it's only June. What are we in store for?
In a way, it's loads of fun. My fave part is seeing all of his surrogates on the cable shows finding ways to spin this thing about the judge, and all of the other craziness. They're so committed (like all surrogates are for any campaign - but man, does he put his crew through the ringer).
But I'm wary about Darla's optimism in the OP. I thought he was done as soon as he made that 1st comment about immigrants, and said McCain wasn't a war hero. I've been so wrong about Trump. It would be cool to see him get wiped out on election eve, but I find myself preparing for the worst.
I know! You're a pessimist and I'm an optimist.
I don't know if we'll ever know what in hell is driving Trump. We all speculate, but it reminds me of when I was driving myself crazy trying to figure someone out and a friend told me "you're trying to find rationality in irrationality". I don't think Trump is rational, and I increasingly don't believe he's sane.
He's saying a Mexican cannot be impartial.
No, he's saying that Mexican judge can't be impartial because he's associated with La Raza.
Anyone who doesn't see the distinction doesn't want to.

for what its worth alberto gonzales made a good op ed about why there is enough prima facie evidence to say that the judge may be biased not based on the race but on the organizations he has joined and their activities. His only pushback was that trump brought it up in the wrong forum but that doesnt mean the facts do not exist.
I wonder if Gingrich hurt his VP chances?
I am dismayed to hear Florida's Attorney General was on the call.
The only problem with Trump's anti Mexican rant, is that since this lawsuit began, the judge has made quite a few rulings in Trump's favor.
That might be what he is saying today, that is not what he initially said, running for cover wont cover up the facts. He initially said it was because the guy was "Mexican", and the guy is not Mexican, he is of Mexican blood... Trump was not talking about his Nationality he was talking about his ethnicity. He never mentioned La Raza until later.
You're faulting Trump for not spelling it out at the outset. Granted, he's bad about that sort of thing, but the judge's association with La Raza has everything to do with Trump's charge of bias. Not the fact he happened to be 'Mexican'.
Anti-Trump people [who wouldn't vote for him under any circumstances] are all over this because it props up their Trump is a racist narrative.
Independents without bias or preconceived notions will look at it as politics as usual.
