It is not being selective. Trump was and still is a terrible threat to the American experiment. Justice was seeing all kinds of crimes fostered by Trump and his followers. Over 1000 people who answered Trump's call for an insurrection are charged, arrested, or in jail. This is not normal in America and it cannot be allowed to go unpunished. Now they are charging those who orchestrated the crimes. Trump broke laws in public or on the phone. he has no defense.

There is a requirement to indict. They have to have found enough evidence to get a grand jury to indict. With Trump, that is very easy. Trump is a one-man crime spree waddling through life. If it is bad politics then perhaps it is not political at all. It is a legal deed act. It is bad to allow a person like Trump to get away with dangerous crimes that threaten the existence of America. What choice do they have? Allow a criminal to get away with VERY dangerous crimes because his crazy followers are being galvanized by justice in action.
