He describes quite accurately what it's like to fight a war so far from your homeland AND what you need before you can even prosecute such a war. Despite the fact that he wrote that material in the age of horse, sword, and bow, it still applies today.

I go by what you have described. So far all you have described is a single unrelated quote. That's not reading Sun Tzu.
Since you now want to seem to ignore his advice concerning fighting wars far from your homeland and whine about what you supposedly read, that only convinces me more that you read a smattering of it and not the whole book. You have also seem to have completely ignored the rest of my post to concentrate on this whining.

May I suggest you stop whining, go read the sections of that book I have indicated, and respond to the content of the post and why I even brought the guy up rather than pick over what you supposedly have read?
