Without question, Clinton made the error of believing that they had the minority/youth vote in the bag. It's impossible to prove either way.
The problem is nothing that was leaked was ever demonstrated to be untrue. In fact, the leaks were instrumental in educating voters on the depth of corruption in the democrat party. An informed electorate is never a bad thing in a democracy.
The crux of the Hillary loss boiled down to jobs and the economy---that, and not the Russians, was how she lost the Rust Belt. This was a Rust Belt election, in a sense.
Also, democrats need to come to the realization that not every candidate is going to attract black or other minority voters like Barack did. If you're not careful, you're going to find yourselves chasing the identity politics carrot every four years and ignoring voters who put jobs and the economy ahead of the race/gender windmill.
But to the point....Russians no doubt had plenty of info on Republicans. What do you suppose Republican internal emails looked like during the primaries? What would have happened if the electorate were privy to that?
It isn't the job of the Democrats to prove anything 'untrue'. Maybe in an election, where even the dumbest among us get the same vote as the smartest.
