Though I never really supported him, I did initially like that he would upend politics as usual and spoke frankly. But I have been getting sick of it and thought he would temper down after he took office. He is not in control of his emotions and that is not a good thing for POTUS.

Yurt you're such a flaming hypocrite. Protesting a bigot being given credibility by your University is an expression of free speech. Denying them federal funding for exercising their free speech is a violation of the first amendment that would not hold up in any court in this nation.

If the protest wasn't a full blown riot you would have a point. There should be a penalty for destruction of property constructed, at least in part, with federal monies.

Cutting off their federal money seems pretty apropos.

Except it wasn't a full blown riot. A couple of assholes broke windows and should have been arrested as that is not protected free speech. Nor are the fighting words of a bigoted provocateur intended to create a riot or a public disturbance a form of protected free speech. Screaming "fire" in a crowded theater is not protected free speech either.

So good luck denying a University it's free speech rights. Let me know how that works out in court.

The vast majority of the people there were peaceably assembled to protest an agent provocateur who is advocating laws to deny others their rights and purposefully creating a public disturbance. That is not protected free speech.

It's a state school. That means taxes by those that don't use the school are paying a portion to fund it in order to keep costs down. Why do you think in state tuition is lower?
