In our political system you are accountable to your constituents. The people of New York cannot punish a senator in louisiana by not voting for them and vice versa.

Again, you're rationalizing what you want to see or what you want to happen.

I make that statement because that's not how the political process works. The whole point of a popular mandate is that in negotiating with law makers you have the power of public behind you. If Trump has a popular mandate for specific legislation to be drafted into law he can bring the power of that public support into play politically. If he doesn't have that then it's just a bunch of hot air no matter what anyone says or believes.

It's like those who don't believe in the theory of biological evolution. They are free to believe whatever they want but science could care less what they believe. Science only cares about theories that provide predictive value in regards to nature.

Same with a popular mandate. If you don't have it no one cares what you claim to have or what you believe. It's up to you to prove that you have it. That's rather difficult to do for a politician who didn't even win a plurality of the popular vote let alone a majority of the popular vote.

the Dem's Super-delegates were going to make sure only the corportist Hillary won the nomination.

The DNC was heavily biased to the point of doing opposition research for Clinton
