Trump drives GM out of the United States.

Meanwhile, BMW is looking for a second factory in the US, and will no doubt choose a Right To Work state...

Honda is expanding their facilities in the United States also. Subaru of America is expanding in Indiana and building a new headquarters in New Jersey.

Isn't that making rather a rash assumption that Trump is causing these layoffs?

GM makes a lot of lousy cars. They are going for the all electric market. They are concentrating on China for that market. What do they need a gasoline fueled car factory in the U.S. for?

Darling, please. We all recall Dons spleechs and blather on jobs and manufacturing. No we’re casting off americans like Don casts off friends and appointees he’s done using rather than face the truth.

Republicans revere totally unfettered free market capitalism.
That's right! Good for you!
Yet they support Trump who has a hissy fit when unfettered free market capitalism wreaks its havoc on the working class.
China is not free market capitalism.
Neither they nor he have a fucking clue, so both have to go.
Inversion fallacy.
Only Social Democrats even think about balancing the roles of the public and private sectors to benefit humanity.
Nope. Stealing wealth from those who created it and giving it to those who don't is not going to work. Theft is theft, dude. It does not benefit humanity. The public and private sectors do not need to be balanced.
Vote Blue or suffer the consequences is the lesson that needs to be learned here.
People already suffer under the consequences of liberal policies. That's why they are voting 'red' more and more. Just lost a runoff election...didn't you? Even the house seats gained in the off season election were pretty minimal for such an election. One of the smallest such gains in history, I believe.

the part right wingers aren't smart enough to figure out is that when you pay people five bucks an hour all you got is Mexico. No one has the disposable income to purchase

Yet they purchase. Wonder how that happens? *snicker*

Maybe because:
1) They are making more than you are claiming
2) They don't use dollars in Mexico
3) Cost of goods and the level of economy is different in Mexico. The cost of living isn't the same as here.

Making false equivalence fallacies like this only shows your desperation to denigrate capitalism.

Darling, please. We all recall Dons spleechs and blather on jobs and manufacturing.
So do I. He is bringing jobs back to America. Looks like GM wanted no part of it. Fuck 'em.
No we’re casting off americans
Really? Casting them off to where? Is there some flotilla of rafts floating out there in the ocean no one knows about but you?
like Don casts off friends and appointees he’s done using
Trump has the authority to fire anyone on his staff or in any of his departments that he wishes.
rather than face the truth.
Void argument fallacy. What 'truth'?

No one needs to, all we need to do is watch. Unsustainable. Can’t keep it up without endless war already. Tarriffs and incentivizing other economies to go off the petrodollar will only catalyze the demise.

Yes, yes, we must do away with any means workers have to unite in grievances. Straight Powell Memorandum doctrine.

It's called 'working somewhere else' or 'working for yourself' or 'filing a civil suit'.

You are only worth what someone is willing to pay you. Want more pay? Make yourself more useful! Get an education. Learn a trade. Figure out a product or service that people want and go into business for yourself! This isn't hard, ma'am.

No one needs to,
Huh??? Needs to do what?? What are you talking about??
all we need to do is watch.
Watch what?
Unsustainable.
What is?
Can’t keep it up without endless war already.
What war?

Redirection fallacy. Void argument fallacy.
Tarriffs and incentivizing other economies to go off the petrodollar will only catalyze the demise.
Tariffs are not the petrodollar. Non-sequitur fallacy.
Incentivizing 'other' economies? By using tariffs??? Non-sequitur fallacy.
Not using dollars soaked in oil will catalyze something? Do you know what a catalyst is?? Non-sequitur fallacy. Redefinition fallacy.
The 'demise'?? What demise?? Void argument fallacy.

I got time. Watch

Hello Celticguy,

Because it wouldnt.
If GM went through a real restructuring they could solve their problems that drove them north and south of the border years ago.
UAW wouldnt like it but they would like to see their jobs stay as opposed to seeing the BO fiasco sent 15k jobs out of the country for starters.
As it went down the only winners were UAW management. They got bailed out of the utter mismansgement of all the union finances including retirement strike funds and all the rest.

What problem solving is that?

A bankruptcy means management is out of a job, the assets get sold off to pay off the investors.

Everybody else loses their job, including the suppliers.

Was there some other plan to save GM besides the bailout I didn't hear about?

I'm all ears....

you are being a stupid fuck. Just stop! You are so fucking stupid you cant figure out that a person making 5 bucks an hour cant buy as much as someone making say 20 bucks an hour. The average hourly wage in Mexico is the equivalent of $2.43, dear god you are stupid.

Keeping all your pay instead of forking over a portion of it to a useless union is slavery?

Anyone who can live on just what the crooks pay, provide health care in your insane charge-double system and hire a helicopter to cover the lack of roads is such as magnificent thief as to be the next president, kid.

This is precisely why people were in the streets condemning this corrupt "too big to fail" bullshit that led to the taxpayer-funded bailout of this union-dominated train wreck that had bankrupted itself paying people three times what their labor was worth to accommodate union gangsters. Imagine if we had just let the free market punish them for their idiocy...we'd be right back where we are now without all the debt, corruption and sleaze.

And no, GM moving to where it is cheaper to do business (liberals are what make it unaffordable to do business here: tax hikes, over-regulation, union abuses, frivolous lawsuits, etc.) is not about Trump ending the incredibly one-sided raping of our country by our trade "partners."

As usual, economic illiteracy is the cornerstone of liberalism.

Here we go. Another unsuccessful POS that blames the system.
