And the bookmaker is also offering odds of just 6/4, an implied probability of 40 percent that, for whatever reason, Trump does not make it to January 2021 as president. I do not think it is going to come down to how many laws Trump broke, how many lies he told, or how criminally incompetent and mentally deficient he is.

It is going to come down to a political calculation.

It is going to come down to how much pain Republicans can tolerate, how much humiliation they can put up with, and how much they are willing to degrade themselves in defending a mentally ill fat ass who is literally the stupidest man to ever be allowed to occupy the oval office.

I do not see impeachment happening or Republican leaders asking him to resign unless his approval ratings consistently stay down in the 20s.

Republicans are going to be loathe to admit their Party has nominated three criminal presidents just in the course of just one life time - Tricky Dick, Bedtime for Bonzo, and Drumpf. Until they see Trump driving their party to political destruction, they are going to do everything they can to prop up this incompetent fool in the Oval Office, in what history will undoubtedly view as the worst kind of kabuki theater ever perpetrated on the office of the presidency.

The reality is quite different. His constituency are disgusting illiterate slobs who like destroying the Federal government

It's true that I have a hard time putting myself in the shoes of lower life forms, aka Trump supporters.
But based on simple observational evidence, it has long been clear to me that the Republican base literally admires ignorance, buffoonery, and incompetence. That is the only possible explanation for why the three biggest "rock stars" of the Republican Party in the last two decades have been the noted dim wits George Dumbya Bush, Sarah Palin, and Donald J. Drumpf.

I have no idea how this ends. The only thing that will be clear when the smoke clears is that the Republican base nominated, supported, and worshipped the stupidest, most dim witted, most uninformed, least articulate, most dishonest, and most petulant president in the history of this great nation.

When odds makers create their "numbers" in sports betting the objective is to get people to bet as much total money as possible. Not to predict what will actually happen.

There are lots of foaming at the mouth liberal lunatics who are consumed with the idea of Trump being removed from office one way or another. I wonder if that could be playing into the odds being put forth.

Not sure how uninformed he is but there's no question he's petulant. Any adult with common sense would know not to constantly tweet the shit he does. His mouth and tweets are his own worst enemy but he can't fathom that.

Don't forget, not only was he nominated but he defeated his dim opponent. It took a freight train like that to put an end once and for all to Hillary's perpetual lifetime bid to be president and end the Clinton machine. He did the dims a favor, doing what they were unable to do themselves.
Although he'll never get his wall built, he effectively put a wall up against Obamaism extremism (over the top political correctness, got rid of the individual mandate-the worst aspect of ACA, put the brakes on using the EPA to circumvent congress in making laws, e.g.).
I'd say mission accomplished, and by 2020 time to move on. I'm hoping he doesn't run again if he sees his numbers don't add up. Make room for a republican that isn't so caustic.
