Yet the State by State polling, as it does now, clearly showed Obama leading substantially against Romney in the electoral vote all the way up to election day.
Wait...wasn't Romney ahead in Michigan?

And because of that "extravagant" idea, there you sit and type.
"The most extravagant idea that can arise in a politician's head is to believe that it is enough for a people to invade a foreign country to make it adopt their laws and their constitution. No one loves armed missionaries..." - Robespierre
Funny - I noticed how JPP righties all of a sudden loved the polls.
Finally? Its been my attitude all along... Sorry all liberals are not the same.
...and by the way this is hardly an isolated instance. Romney's 47% comment essentially cost him the election. Though he was speaking to a group of GOP supporters he failed to consider that his comment would go public, which it did, and what the cost would be. It cost him dearly. It cemented him as an out of touch blue blood who did not understand the issues facing working and middle class people. At this stage of campaigning both Harry Truman (1948) and George H.W. Bush (1988) both over came larger deficits than Trump is facing. Dukakis implosion is a good case study. After the conventions he had a huge lead on Bush but the Bush attack machine did a very good job in whittling down that lead and then Dukakis completely screwed the pooch on one poorly answered question during his debate with Bush that took him from a significant lead to being defeated in an electoral landslide. So yea....4 months is a long time to go and Clinton, though definitely leading at this point, is by no means assured a victory. She may botch a Bernard Shaw question too.

polls can be exciting for anyone, but people just need to chill and take a step back. 4 months is a long time.
But independents and undecided might care.Trump has a few of those every week.
He really does have a teflon sort of quality. I've been amazed ever since he said McCain wasn't a hero for getting captured. I thought that would sink him with Republicans, and there have been dozens of comments like that since.
They simply don't care.
If you live in Mississippi and can say that with a straight face you have my vote for the Academy Award for best actor.Down with the Nazi's who wish to occupy Washington and make America Russian territory! America will rule itself! America will never be fascist!
But independents and undecided might care.
Trump's new edge rests largely on increased support among independents, 43% of whom said that Trump's convention in Cleveland left them more likely to back him, while 41% were dissuaded. Pre-convention, independents split 34% Clinton to 31% Trump,
and they do:

jpptards a couple of days ago were saying his super dark and dystopian hiter-ly speech would alienate independents. wrong again.

I will have no homeland. .
America has always stood against fascism. In 1942 we sent millions of Americans to the pacific and Europe with the joyous task of killing fascists. We reveled in their blood, and enjoyed every bullet we put in the brain of a non-human Nazi animal. America will not be overtaken by fascism! Americas duty as a nation is to defeat fascists!
This is what I like about Watermark. We agree about nothing else, but we do love to sit down and annihilate Nazi scum, shed its blood, and hold it's still beating hearts in the palms of our hands, toasting to Holy Trinity gloury. We're like Churchill and Stalin.
