Interesting that black woman "stood her ground" by firing a WARNING SHOT into the ceiling of her garage to ward off her abusive ex-husband and she gets 20 years....yet a man who PURSUES an INNOCENT kid at night SHOOTS AND KILLS him in an altercation that WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN PLACE HAD HE DISCONTINUED HIS PURSUIT AFTER NOTIFYING AUTHORITIES, gets off scott free!
In Long Island, New York, a black man DEFENDS HIS SON AND HOME against a group of DRUNKEN WHITE TEENAGERS who chased his son with violent intent based on a false accusation by shooting and killing one....he's convicted and sent to jail.

The stories you refer to, the woman was offered a deal of two years, she turned it down, now she is someone's bitch for the next 20 years. The man that shot the defenseless white innocent child was pardoned by another crooked black governor after serving 5 months in jail.

The Miami Herald reported: The “victim,” in this twisted tale of Florida justice, was Rico Gray, a 245-pound Jacksonville truck driver with a proclivity for domestic violence.
The “criminal,” the woman sentenced to 20 years of hard time on May 11, was his wife, Marissa Alexander, five feet, two inches tall and slight enough, as Gray mentioned in his pre-trial deposition, that on two occasions he tossed her from their house without much physical exertion. “She’s a little person so it doesn’t take much for me to pick her up and tote her out my front door . . . You know, I pretty much picked her up and throwed her out.”
“I honestly think she just didn’t want me to put my hands on her anymore so she did what she feel like she have to do to make sure she wouldn’t get hurt, you know. You know, she did what she had to do.”
He said, “The gun was never actually pointed at me. When she raised the gun down and raised it up, you know, the gun was never pointed at me. The fact is, you know . . . she never been violent toward me. I was always the one starting it. If she was violent toward me, it was because she was trying to get me up off her or stop me from doing.”
Gray’s deposition might have read like a confession of a husband charged with domestic violence, but it was Marissa Alexander who was convicted in April 2010, after a Duval circuit judge rejected her Stand Your Ground defense. The judge decided that Alexander could have fled instead of running into the garage and fetching the pistol from her car. “This is inconsistent with a person in genuine fear of his or her life,” the judge ruled — illustrating, if nothing else, that the effectiveness of the controversial self-defense statute varies wildly from one Florida circuit to the next.

So you refuse to look at the facts of the case?
She LEFT the house, was in no danger, she retrieved a gun... then went BACK into the House. There is NO way stand your ground can be applied if a person (regardless of race) LEFT the situation, was safe and then chose to put them back in the situation AFTER retrieving a gun.
What part of that are you failing to grasp?
I don't disagree that the guy was an abusive a-hole. But again you show that liberals don't actually care about the law, they just care about their emotional knee jerk reaction.

She had an order of protection against her husband who had a history of battery. Her husband violated that order, entered her home, barged into her bathroom threatening her. She ran to the garage but the door stuck (check the testimony and depositions), so she grabbed her LEGAL gun and “stood her ground.” She couldn't get out, and he's in the house with the kids, so where the hell else was she suppose to go or do? Essentially the judge buys the story of the DOCUMENTED DOMESTIC ABUSER WITH A RESTRAINING ORDER.

You keep telling me to think, yet you completely disregard the facts of the case.
They BOTH had restraining order against each other. SHE violated the restraining order... not him. SHE entered HIS home. When she discovered he was home, she left, went to the car, got a gun, came back inside and fired it in his direction, a direction the kids were also in.
Where was she supposed to go? HOME.
She should have left.
It was not her home.
