The point is that everyone's children get the same educational opportunities.

If the wealthy can afford to send their kids to private prep school, that is fine, but they still have to pay for a "public" education just like everyone else...and it truly is ironic that it is the wealthiest of us doing the most whining about how "unfair" it is that they have to actually PAY for their children's private school.

I don't think you'll find too many people arguing educating our youth isn't important. The big issue is how do we improve all schools but specificially ones in lower income neighborhoods.

Yes, I am STILL thankful for my god fearing parents being such wonderful people. It is who they are and I am who I am. My children will probably thank this godless parent for being wonderful, too

Well, being that my family wasn't rich and the school was free, you don't really have a point and there were many different income levels that were able to attend the schools, so once again, you speak before you know what you are talking about.
