The Teachers Union’s Public Enemy No. 1

One of many, try to stay up on the one post @ least..:palm:

can't respond to even one?......for shame, bill.....lib'ruls should be willing to back up their claims.......again, if money is a factor why the public schools of Detroit, Buffalo and Washington DC, three of the school districts that spend more per student (upwards of $15k per student) among the worst......for contrast, my kids went to a private school where tuition was between $5k and $6k per year and both had no difficulty in completing college on the dean's list.......

is money a valid factor?......

Should I, we, accept a mediocre school system so teachers can maintain their current benefits?

The mediocre school system is because the racist white man doesn't want to fund public school.... nor do they want to educate Blacks.

That is why we have unions in the first place.

Teachers do not decide how much they should be paid, the process is called negotiation. Have you heard of that word before?

Hahahaha. I guess she's bitter the racist white liberal men in California didn't fund her education.

Funny that's TTQ64's position considering the long history of racism within the unions. But Democratic racism is ok so I guess that's what makes it pass.

Funny how many Democrats have spoken out against the teachers unions as well but it's ok when they do it.

My position is opposite of the position you and racist right wingers have.

And you wonder why your called a racist.

The reason we have unions is because racist, greedy white men, wanted to pay people slave wages (because they benefited greatly from slave labor) and work them to death.

Your position is based on the lies these men tell regarding unions because they want to keep all profits to themselves.

You need to stop listening to these racist white wingers they are making you look like the racist they are.

No one likes to give up their monopoly power. But many charter schools are public schools. They just aren't required to use union teachers.

Stop with this nonsense. If the teachers had that much power they wouldn't be paid slave wages.

The people that have the power are the same people that always had power. The people with the power have you believing unions are bad.

Sure. But when we complain about the quality of education in this country then say we are ok with the teachers union fighting any and all change we are saying two competing things.

They are fighting the change offered from the racist right. The same people who didn't want Blacks educated.

The are losing the fight otherwise, we wouldn't be defunding education, closing schools, and trying to get rid of teacher unions.

Let's be clear, I'm speaking about the teacher unions. I'm not commenting specifically about individual teachers.

As far as public policy goes the teacher unions have the most power so they will get discussed the most.

Are the teachers unions for closing schools in urban areas?
