The Teachers Union’s Public Enemy No. 1

You have stats to support that? All the teachers I know send their kids to public schools, usually the ones they teach at.

So, who knows better than teachers what students need? My teachers always complain about administration and school boards not knowing what students need.

Teachers teach, they aren't the ones making policy. You get the difference between the Unions and the teachers?

You think I can afford $30-$40K/yr starting in pre-school? Any idea where this money is I supposedly have?
Oh, come on, some private schools must be cheaper than that, otherwise, how could public school
teachers afford to send their kids?

Let's be clear, I'm speaking about the teacher unions. I'm not commenting specifically about individual teachers.

As far as public policy goes the teacher unions have the most power so they will get discussed the most.
You have a lot to learn, school boards are the one with the power, doesn't your wife teach?

No, I'm afraid you are the one, I dealt with a school system for over 20 years. I know that school boards are the ones with the power. I never dealt with unions over curriculum!

Who has control over whether charter schools can open in cities?

De Vos is a neophyte with little political experience who advocates for guns in schools.

she's a former head of the Michigan Republican Party, her husband ran for governor.....I think she can handle politics........and she has spoken in favor of arming security guards and faculty.......is your latest strawman "guns in schools"......

There are many, many problems w/ these school systems, including the assholes that run them, the parents, kids, laws, money etc etc etc... Or did you not know that??

can we fire the assholes who are employees and let the parents take their children out of systems run by assholes?......
