But it comes down to the simple fact that 50% of the country can't agree on how the country should be run. That is unsustainable. So instead of forcing 50% of the people to live unhappily every four to eight years, wouldn't it be best to just have an amicable divorce and divide up the property?

This relationship is not working. We do not agree on fundamental issues of governance like the muder of an unborn child, taxation, private property etc. Now we can continue on this path to eventual civil war or we can part ways amicably. The left can live in their socialist utopia of no borders, electric cars, no fossil fuels and taxing the rich at 90% to pay for it all.

The rest of us will live by the free market and not let leftists in for longer than two days

Basically, the country has always been about 50% divided on how the country is run. People seem to think tge current situation is worse that others in history. They’re not. The Civil War tore apart families to the point of killing each other. The Vietnam Era was also a terribly divisive time.

Something else is fueling what appears to be more hate. I listen to RW radio quite a bit. The constant lies and hateful rhetoric is shocking. And that’s MAINSTREAM conservative radio. I can’t imagine the content of the far right, but I see the stupidity of its adherents on this forum.

Seeking to use the power of the Federal government to control what businesses can offer and what Americans citizens are free to choose. Liberals loooove one-size-fits-all laws like "ban guns across the land because the cities have a gun problem".

Who were the assholes 40 years ago screaming about content on TV? Solution? Change the fucking channel.

Who were the assholes 30 years ago screaming about video games? Solution? Discipline your kids about such games.

Who are the assholes now screaming about Social Media? Solution? Train and discipline your kids about using it.

Only authoritarian assholes seek to ban such things for everyone when it is mainly a matter of parental responsibility in raising their children. Adults can make their own decisions.

Partially agreed. Truth does have a liberal bias, but liberal like Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin, not "Liberal" like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

Agreed on facts.

Trumpians do use lies to hide the truth and support their position.
