The Social Dilemma

Interesting, do you have a link to back up this claim?

Easy for anyone who isn't a domestically violent asshole. Example:

A few other demographic differences stand out among those who name each of these eight outlets as their main source for political and election news. Women are much more likely than men to favor network TV, as they make up about six-in-ten or more of those who cite CBS (70%), ABC (60%) or NBC (58%) as their main source for political news. Those who name NPR and The New York Times as their main source tend to be more educated, with about seven-in-ten in each group having at least a bachelor’s degree (68% and 72%, respectively). And while those who name Fox News as their main news source are predominantly white (87%), nearly half of those who rely on CNN are some other race or ethnicity (47%).

I watched it. That is not what it is about.

The premise is the same, but you are correct to point out is was focused mainly in Internet news like Trump's Twitter feed.

How many of the RWNJs on JPP are likely to receive all of their "news" via Twitter or Youtube? They are doing it to themselves, using the same tech while screaming like Chicken Little about the "media".

It's really funny when you think about it.

She likes to LIE a lot and PRETEND she knows things she doesnt.
She never lies or intentionally misleads, and she is smarter than the vast majority of Trump ass kissing posters who show up here.
You're overstating it but I agree; Phantasmal is an honest person. More honest and smarter than JPP's RWNJs but that's as far as I'll go. :)

I don’t look at the ads

So they don’t put many up for me

I never click on any ad anywhere on the internets

And fox is the only news source that claims all other news sources are lying

Pinpoints them as a lying ass bag source

Are you wearing aluminum pasties so the you-know-what-rays won't try to control you, dear? ;)

Even Ted Kaczynski saw ads when he cycled into town or shopped in a store. It can't be avoided. A rational, intelligent and educated human being knows, learns and decides for themself. Only the fucking morons are controlled like the proles in 1984 or THX 1138. Movies and books are themselves propaganda.

That's how Rush, with many others, made many of their millions. $600M doesn't just fall into a person's lap for no reason. Rush sponged his money off the suckers people listening to or watching his show or buying his books and merchandise. Watching the commercials and other gimmicks. Alex Jones was notorious for it.

Anyone can buy a Rush Limbaugh show "unisex reusable" facemask https://www.amazon.com/Unisex-Reusable-Mouth-Limbaugh-Stand/dp/B08MLBHZQ6

They don’t care about “selling” to people who never buy

I don’t make myself anyone’s cash source on the internets

They have no use for me

I have never on the internets clicked on an ad

I’m no use to them

You can’t try it

It is way too late for most to try it

They already blew it

The only people who never buy are dead. If they aren't buying for themselves, they might be influencing who buys for them.

OTOH, as the movie pointed out, when you are dealing with tens or hundreds of millions of people a day, fractions of pennies begin to add up.

Scenario: You and I decide to cash in on the Youtube-star craze and create five one or two-minute campy no-nipple soft porn videos. The time to write and setup is the hardest part. After that, check the lighting and every cell phone becomes a movie camera. Record, choose to edit or not (probably not), choose a soundtrack (or not) and upload. After that, see if any cash rolls in. It's just fun bucks, but as the links below state, there's a lot of money to be made marketing your or your friend's videos. It's a way to turn a hobby into cash. Others can turn it into a job.

I've learned how to do a lot of things on Youtube, ads or not. I've learned about and how to do a lot of things on different websites. Chili recipes was among my first. Building fences or other projects came later.

Frankly, I'm surprised B&S isn't already marketing some of his "hidden camera" video (it's not hidden, that's a gimmick) from his Gay BDSM club at 250 W 26th St, New York, NY 10001....as he loves to mention along with his challenges to wrestle in their "dojo dungeon". His entire membership on JPP could simply be a marketing ploy for his favorite fetish hotspot.
