Instead of endlessly arguing about masks, can somebody tell me why hypochlorous acid isn't used more often to spray areas to destroy the virus? It's used a lot in Asian countries but not seemingly that much in the US or UK.

From my understanding, it does not work better than bleach or alcohol, but is extremely corrosive. Hypochlorous acid is used to test how corrosion will effect a tool. It can simulate decades of salt water in a week or so.
Or so I remember. I skimmed a report on sanitizing agents a month or two ago where it was mentioned. I know it is being considered, and am sure it will be used where it is efficient to be used.

This would be funny, if these idiots had not damaged their health so badly. Fogging sanitizer is the big new thing that everyone is pushing. You create a fog of sanitizer, which cleans EVERYTHING, including corners that no one ever cleans. They like to swap up which sanitizer they use from time to time.
For a few days, they were using ethanol(drinking alcohol) as the sanitizer, and two guys realized if they took off their masks while fogging, they would get very drunk. I do not know what sanitizer they switched to, but the idiots one day got very sick rather than very drunk.

It's far more effective than bleach because it's a powerful oxidising agent. It also destroys viruses by forming chloroamines which break up the DNA or RNA strands.

What I read was it was not more effective, but back to the oxidizing. It has a bad habit of destroying our machines through rust. It gets worse. Any rust it causes in iron is basically impossible to clean of viruses. Iron rust has such small cracks that you can never get all the viruses out of it. So a strong oxidizer can actually give viruses a great hiding place.
Hypochlorous acid probably has more uses than what we are using it for. There are definitely people trying to figure out where it is effective, and where it is not. I personally do not have a dog in that fight, I just want whatever works best.
They do not have a mail address listed, which is usually a very bad sign. They claim that their hypochlorous acid is corrosive free. Not quite sure that is possible, but OK.
This is not my area of expertise, so I can only repeat what I have heard. I know some of the people working on the best solutions they can find, and can reassure they are trying their best.
I do know one thing, please do not inject, or ingest hypochlorous acid. It will kill you. I would not use it on your skin either.

I didn't mention bleach. The "science" is in...UV kills it and I'm not talking about a blacklight, I'm talking about big lamps that could cook a body in 10 seconds.
