The post-truth era

See my post to J Craft. I didn't vote for Obama last time, or Hillary. I started threads on Hillary's dishonesty.

I find it hilarious that you're the one accusing others of a double-standard. You harped on Hillary's dishonest all through the campaign. Really, it was the top issue for you guys. Now that Trump has been elected, it's all "you shouldn't have taken him literally," and (this next one is yours), "as long as no one can prove it's made-up, it isn't a lie."

It's sad to listen to koolaid-drenched hacks try to rationalize their double-standards. You are one of those that is in complete, 100% denial.

It's not a lie, I stand by it. It's part of the problem with current political discourse: terms like lie, fascist, bigot are thrown around carelessly by both sides, but the left is worse about it.

The irony is that in calling unsubstantiated claims 'a lie', is a lie by your own reckoning.

Mind your glass house.

It's obvious when Trump is making something up. He's done it his whole life. He even alludes to it in the "Art of the Deal" as being strategic.

And there are many stats and figures he has made up that ARE provably wrong. The pattern has been established.

I'm glad you "stand by it." I expect nothing less.

Why shouldn't I stand by it when you can't refute it lol.

You whine about Trump playing loose with facts when you do it yourself.

A) I just did refute it
B) Where have I played "loose w/ the facts"?

Trump is a pathological liar, Darth. For someone who harped on dishonesty the entire campaign, you seem fine w/ that irrefutable fact.

I mean, well beyond PolitiFact, Snopes & the rest, and beyond the lists of hundreds of documented lies that are posted throughout the internet & in studies that have been on Trump, we actually have many on the right side of the spectrum who have identified Trump as a pathological liar, and the consummate con-man.

This is no partisan hysteria at work.

You just refuted it? When? I must have missed it.

And dang dude, 'pathological liar and irrefutable fact' is the kind of thing you condemn Trump for, but oddly, not Hillary.

I believe that makes you a hack.

If you had the courage to review Trump's many lies in studies that have been done, you'd see that - like I said in that previous post - there are many instances where he makes up facts & figures that are easily disprovable and wrong. So, the pattern has been established. The few where what he fabricates can't be proven either way - which is what you're clinging to - is hardly meaningful, because we know this is what he does.

He IS a pathological liar, Darth. Sorry - no way to candycoat that for you. None of that makes me a hack. Your relentless apologism for him and denial of his dishonesty actually makes you the hack.

So, stop projecting.

The guy from CNN ?...the network that gave Hillary debate questions in advance ?....THIS is your source...?

Surely you jest....

Which fact checkers do righties trust? Let me know so I can go to them for research. And no, Infowars doesn't count.

And an addition to the first one....

Trump talks economy, job growth to Hershey crowd of 13,000....in an arena holding
10,500 with an estimated 7000 outside .... 20,000 estimated in total....RSBN says there was probably 20,000 at the rally and 42,000 watching online.
The point is,
I don't Hillary ever had a crowd like that even with her celebrity entertainers....who cares if its
not an accurate count to perfection of the size of the crowd....in plain speak...it was HUUUGGGEEEEEE !

Good lord, your obeisance to trump is just scary. I thought you had reached your pinnacle with bush adoration posts but this and #79 top everything.

With the Clintons, they didn't need anything. Most of the accusations against Hillary were based on nothing. Most of these posters probably believe they had Vince Foster killed.

With Trump, we have study after study, and fact-checks that are absolutely undeniable. Statements that anyone here can check for themselves, quite easily. But the level of denial is epic. One of the posters here (can't remember who) actually went to the mat last week about Trump's claim that he saw thousands of Muslims celebrating on the rooftops after 9/11. There was one report of 3 Muslims celebrating in a van by the Hudson River, which was the main corroboration.

 You guys claim Hillary's been consigned to the dustbin of history, except when you want to use her to refute something about trump.

LOL

Rachel Maddow is going over the results of a new PPP poll now. A large majority of Trump voters think:

1) The stock market went down under Obama
2) The unemployment rate went up under Obama
3) Donald Trump won the popular vote

Just amazing.
