It's misinformative, why should I repeat it? I thought the left had a newly discovered love of the truth?

It's not misinformative. The Iraq Vote was intended as a show of unity to Saddam - most in Congress knew it COULD end up in war, but if you read their comments on the day of the vote, their intent was just to give Bush that authority, if all other options failed. Even Dick Armey said that.

It didn't compel Bush to do anything, or mandate any action whatsoever.

Bush made the decision to invade. That will always be on him. Frankly, it makes me sick when partisans try to absolve him of accountability.
