Understood that some people see the Internet as fantasy. That the people on the other end aren't real or just playing a game. My perspective is slightly more realistic. This is where TOW and I are more alike as opposed to TOP, the poor old woman living a fantasy life online but deeply afraid of being found out.
Although I can't convince TOW of it, I believe that TOP won't acknowledge what she's done because she can't. She's psychologically unable to understand the real harm she did with her "fantasy life".
TOW will never gain satisfaction expecting TOP to come to her senses. You and I both know why. On your part you feel a protective instinct to protect an elderly, helpless mother-figure no matter what harm she causes. On TOW's part she sees TOP as both similarly aged and deeply wronged by her. On my part I avoid getting involved...except in moments of complete boredom. LOL
