The monstrous evil of the GOP and Texas abortion laws

Checkmate though to all poor people who cannot afford a lawyer or to fly to go to another State. Which is the purpose of this law.

The TS is correct. It was always a lie, and we knew in Red States, that say 'oh access to abortion for mothers who are at risk of serious health damage is allowed'.

The laws are written so vague that any doctor who undertakes them, has to worry about being sued civilly or any activist prosecutor trying to send a message by prosecuting them, win or lose.

no Doctors want to be the guinea pig for that, so they will just avoid it.

BUt at least the lie is exposed as here you have the clearest case of a baby who will not survive birth and likely not survive to birth, and a mother who may lose her ability to have any future children.

Why? because Fundamentalist will tell you 'we believe in miracles and thus no Dr should interfere and prevent God potentially providing a miracle baby'.

The perfect example is an ectopic pregnancy. Doctors perform surgeries on ectopic pregnancies EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. So QP stop talking about something you know nothing about.

Which is practically everything as far as I can see, arrogant and ignorant in equal measure.

Yes they could do that but they prefer to lie about Texas law. And to top it off Confart is so stupid that he does not understand trisomy 18 does not threaten the life of the mother. This mother is a SJW that would rather fight Texas abortion law than to deal with her problem in another nearby state. It's cheaper and faster and more sure than fighting in court.

If she didn't have enough money I'm sure a GoFundMe would get her the funds quick enough.

UN FUCKING BELIEVABLE. Those who support this (including many here) are evil human beings who should be treated with utter contempt. This is absolutely fucking sick and cruel, You can all go fuck yourselves. I hope someone you care about doesn't have to face this choice, even though YOU deserve to suffer as much as this woman. God, this is contemptible, disgusting, shameful, and utterly lacking in compassion. How sad that you people hate others so fucking much. There is a reckoning coming, and none of us will ever forget or ever forgive. I'm done. If you are a Republican, you are pond scum.

"The Texas Supreme Court has temporarily blocked a pregnant woman from obtaining an emergency abortion in a ruling issued late Friday.

The court froze a lower court’s ruling that would have allowed Kate Cox, who sued the state seeking a court-ordered abortion, to obtain the procedure. “Without regard to the merits, the Court administratively stays the district court’s December 7, 2023 order,” the order states.

The court noted the case would remain pending before them but did not include any timeline on when a full ruling might be issued. Cox is 20 weeks pregnant. Her unborn baby was diagnosed with a fatal genetic condition and she says complications in her pregnancy are putting her health at risk."

Prolife? GO FUCK YOURSELF.

I already know you condone murder.

This is brought to you by the same fake "experts" who tell us that raped women cannot get pregnant, so any pregnant woman must have wanted it. I am surprised how much a Bible college education makes these people think they are experts on science.

Word stuffing.

The law says

A legal abortion in another state does not violate Texas state law moron.

Where does it say the abortion must be performed in the state of Texas in that subchapter?
I'll give you a hint - It doesn't.

Even if this doesn't apply to abortions out of state, anyone can sue someone that goes out state to get an abortion and not risk anything since they can not be punished by having to pay attorney fees for filing such a claim.
ANotwithstanding any other law, a court may not award
costs or attorney
’s fees under the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure or
any other rule adopted by the supreme court under Section 22.004,
Government Code, to a defendant in an action brought under this
section.

There is a very real risk of having to pay attorney fees if anyone helps you leave the state for an abortion.

They would have to prove in their filing that somehow they were hurt financially or otherwise by the action they were suing for. If they couldn't prove that, the lawsuit would be tossed as meaningless. Civil suits have to show some loss or injury. How is someone not involved with an abortion hurt by that action?

No. The state of Texas passed a law that sways they don't have to show any of that.

I completely agree with you on this particular case. I've been on record saying that the texas republicans are almost completely dictatorial in nature

that being said, fuck you and your feminist bullshit beliefs. you are every bit as vile and evil as the GOP. you're a complete fucking hypocrite accusing others of hate when it's also YOU that are full of hate.

I'd like to know how these heinous laws "protect life." Here's another case in Texas. Her water broke, the fetus died, but she still couldn't get an abortion. She ended up in the ICU with sepsis, and almost died too.

She was denied an abortion in Texas - then she almost died[/QUOTE]

No moron there is no Texas State law that promotes suing someone for helping a women to leave the state for an abortion. But in Texas you can sue for almost anything. But there is nothing at all that can stop this women from hoping a plane to Albuquerque or dozens of other locations to have an abortion. ZERO so stop lying. A ticket from Dallas to Albuquerque round trip is as little as $90 and take 1hr and 24 min.

What's that saying about opening one's mouth (or keyboard) and removing all doubt about what a fool you are?

Several sections of Texas law allow abortion providers or those assisting with an abortion to be sued or fined. Note The patient who obtains an abortion is rarely at risk of fines or lawsuits under Texas's statutes. More often, the person performing the abortion is who will be fined or sued.

Explain to me how her health is in jeopardy with a trisomy 18 pregnancy genius. . If it was she COULD have an abortion in Texas . Problem solved.

If you're a physician or an RN, I'm the Pope's wife.

*All* pregnancies carry risk. An actual physician would know this, as would an actual RN. In utero death of the fetus is a life-threatening condition for the mother. You've probably heard of sepsis, right?

An Edwards syndrome {trisomy 18} diagnosis can result in a live birth, but trisomy 18 most often causes a miscarriage during the first three months of pregnancy or the baby is stillborn.

I know your power of comprehension is low but Texas has ZERO authority over the laws in other states. The Texas code says that you can't assist some violating its code on abortion. That means you can't help someone get an illegal abortion in Texas. The law only applies in Texas you simple minded moron. Abortions in other states are not covered in Texas law because they aren't under our jurisdiction.

knowingly engages in conduct that aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion, including paying for or reimbursing the costs of an abortion through insurance or otherwise, if the abortion is performed or induced in violation of this subchapter, regardless of whether the person knew or should have known that the abortion would be performed or induced in violation of this subchapter; or

As a real nurse should know any pregnancy carries a risk of miscarriage. If this woman did in fact miscarry she would have to undergo a DC which is essentially an abortion of products of conception. Similar to what she seeks.
