The jury finds her quilty

I wish she'd get probation though we know she won't.

If she'd shot a white guy she wouldn't have even been charged.

Probably just demoted.

When people stop becoming cops because the danger of prosecution for the unintentional death of some criminal who was resisting arrest becomes greater than the danger posed by the criminals themselves, and nobody is safe anymore because there are no more cops, society might be forced to rethink all this crap about prosecuting cops for honest, human mistakes.
Well said!

You thought she was innocent???

BTW that face palm by Toxic was her going after Evince, not an indication of what she thought of the verdict.
Honestly, I don't care what "Toxic" is doing. It is the last thing I'm concerned with. That's your gig.

That cop did not intend to do it. She was afraid. Anyone with a brain knows that but keep virtue signaling cuz you want to identify with duh woke mob.

I'll pass on that. Truth and reality are my gig.

I just can’t buy it

There is no way you can wear and train with that equipment for that long and make that mistake

I think something doesn’t add up

Based on what? Your feels? Thank gawd you're not allowed to serve on a jury.

Daunte Wright was a boy doing what boys do and 3 cops were so poorly trained that they didn't realize they were on a traffic stop.

Fighting with the police when they're trying to subdue you is "...a boy doing what boys do..."?

In what world?

I think you're wrong on this, and I think it's wrong to conflate this w/ some of the other shootings we've seen.

Her remorse was instant, and has looked sincere from the get-go. I believe this was a tragic mistake.

People forget what the day-to-day is like for cops. They put themselves in harm's way constantly. She made one terrible mistake.

Prove it.
Potter had 2 other cops with her on a traffic stop, one was a sergeant, yet she didn't know how de-escalate a situation with a person of color. The bodycam is starting to expose all these frightened cops who should never be allowed to carry a gun.

The real world.

Pffffffttthhhhhht.

Yeah, right.

Every day all over America, good, upstanding young boys from good homes are fighting with cops and trying to drive away from them during traffic stops.

Yeah, you are really worthy of being taken seriously.

Yeah, sure. :palm:

Afraid of a guy sitting behind the wheel of a car?

Ever hear a cop say 'You might beat my motor, but you won't beat my Motorola' ?
Even a taser was overkill. Where did they really think he was going?

Still, this isn't your normal roid rage incident where some jacked up cop murders someone.

This is truly a tragedy on all counts. I'm thinking the judge goes easy on her.

As he probably should.

I agree. Many are frightened, but some are just murderers. Chauvin being the most recent.

They get canned from one jurisdiction, and move a few towns over.

People make mistakes. To me she was a somewhat sympathetic actor who seems genuinely remorseful... even minutes after the shooting. That being said, we entrust cops with deadly weapons and the authority to use them when necessary. It was not necessary in this instance. I think it is a righteous verdict.

So you think officer Potter shot this guy cuz he is black?

Wut? No where did I say or even hint at such a thing. Goat said something about what if it was your grandson who was shot. I said it was more likely that mine could be a victim of police abuse because he is black. You don't think that is a thing in America?

The verdict was wrong. The jury was coerced by the woke mob outside. Sad.

I could say the exact same thing about the Rittenhouse verdict. The jury was terrified that the fascist Reichwing gunhumpers would come for them if they convicted the fat little punk killer. Look how gleeful both him and his fascist RW fanboys are now, eh?

Both verdicts are what they are. Get over it.

I doubt that LiG has a grandson that is a thug ... BTW ... this started out as a traffic stop and THUG escalated it.
What you call a thug I call a boy tired of a boot on his neck. The expired plates were explained by Potter yet she allowed the stop to happen anyway. A good cop would tell Daunte to take care of his bench warrant so her trainee would know the difference between harassing a small fish and catching a real criminal.

I knew she was in trouble when the jury wanted to hold both weapons. This is a tragedy for the reasons you mention above, but otherwise good people routinely end up in jail for vehicular manslaughter, etc..

There's a big thing right now about that trucker whose brakes failed. He got 110 years in prison because of equipment failure.

I think sentencing will be mild
