The jury finds her quilty

It means how it ended, with a guilty verdict. She was guilty of negligent homicide by her own admission in making the dumb mistake thinking her black revolver was her yellow taser.

So why the quotation marks around "trial outcome"?

Diesel explained it on the first page.

.
KILL A BLACK THUG ... GO TO JAIL

Another cop victim of the woke crowd.

Fuck you and die already, you racist piece of ancient bullshit. I take a little joy in knowing that you'll be dead before Potter gets out of prison.

The court spokesperson didn't seem to be appropriately trained on the meaning of the court's press release/public notice. Or maybe he was leaving open the possibility of a hung jury and differentiating that from a verdict. I think it was a simple mistake that the media didn't know how to handle in its chyrons.

Yeah, the news story popping up everywhere says the very same thing - two verdicts, negligent homicide and aggravated negligent homicide. The key to this is in the prosecutor's summing up to the jury:

“The judge will not give you an instruction that says a person is not guilty if they commit a mistake. That’s not the law, no matter how often the defense says ‘mistake.’”

I can't see who 'vince is talking about....some woman I surmise.
My browser must not show everything.

We seem to be always locking up women for some reason.

I'm still trying to get Pam Smart out, poor thing.

There is nothing to celebrate in this verdict, even though it is absolutely the right one. Two lives destroyed by a careless and tragic mistake. We tend to view these police shootings through the lens of history, but every case, every shooting has a different set of circumstances. This one is very sad.

I agree with you, Correct verdict, but very sad.

Who in their right mind would want to be a cop? Low pay and the possibility of going to jail for making a mistake. Just the idea I’d have to carry a weapon as part of my job is enough to not consider it.
I make a mistake and my malpractice insurance covers me. Worst that happens is my rates increase.
Back to my first sentence. What kind of person does that profession attract?

Wanna shoot people without consequence? I’m sure one can find a mercenary outfit.

I do not agree with the verdict.

If you run from the police?
You should be shot (after the police warn you first).

If perpetrators knew that they would be shot if they run from cops?
They would stop running.

Since they know they almost certainly won't be...they run.

All this verdict does is reassure perps that they ALWAYS should run from police.
And that helps no one...except criminals.

And if you disagree with me?
I DO NOT CARE.
For you are wrong (on this).
And I am right (on this).

Not everyone has a college degree or was born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Same with plumbers and/or other "trade" type jobs. Law enforcement is not exactly a specialized field and while some departments require a degree it hasn't always been that way. It is a thankless public servant job and frankly I wish every one of them would quit. I'd love to see these cowards "call a thug" when someone kicks their front door in.

My daughter is a major city police officer--now a lieutenant detective to be precise.
In more than twenty years on the force, she has never fired her service weapon other than at the qualifying range.

Annie Oakley and Calamity Jane are dead.
What we're looking for here is that nice pension in a few more years, not fucking notches on our holster.

Where the fuck does JPP find some of these people?
