What is a "trial outcome"?
There is nothing to celebrate in this verdict, even though it is absolutely the right one. Two lives destroyed by a careless and tragic mistake. We tend to view these police shootings through the lens of history, but every case, every shooting has a different set of circumstances. This one is very sad.
They keep saying "trial outcome" with a quotation marks around it. What does that mean?

how do you know its a mistake?
The judge read two verdicts.
How can any of us know? The state, however, charged her with manslaughter because they either couldn't find or couldn't prove intent.

Her immediate reaction after she killed Wright and her testimony on the stand would indicate to me that she is either sincere or is a better actor than most working actors.
Her reaction. I don't believe that was contrived. I think the sentence (which is sounds likely is around 10-15 years or more) seems appropriate. There is a danger in reaching a binary conclusion in these cases. The charges were appropriate.

I'm not sure I ever believed her story that she grabbed the wrong gun.
Policemen spend a lot of time training with the use of taser guns. And the handles are so oddly shaped so that there is no way one could mistake it for a live weapon!
There is not a cop in the land that believed that story- BECAUSE ONE WOULD HAVE TO BE RETARDED TO NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.
To be honest, this poor excuse of a Police Officer could have ended up shooting the other cop by accident the way she barged onto the scene and fired that weapon.
Oh well, we have all seen stupid cops before- THIS ONE COMES TO MIND!

We're celebrating another ignorant and arrogant cop off the streets.
It means how it ended, with a guilty verdict. She was guilty of negligent homicide by her own admission in making the dumb mistake thinking her black revolver was her yellow taser.
