President Donald Trump reportedly has suggested he hopes to remake nearly half of the US's highest court in his image by making four separate appointments during his first term — and so far, that'd already be half right.

Upon taking office, Trump quickly filled the Supreme Court vacancy left by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia with Neil Gorsuch, a conservative who has already played a key role.

Justice Anthony Kennedy retired on July 31.

Trump secured two justices in the first half of his first term. Obama and George W. Bush appointed two justices each during their eight years in office.

During the 2016 campaign, Trump often said he or his DEMOCRAT opponent, Hillary Clinton, could end up appointing five justices.

Another thing that will not last forever is limiting the Supreme Court to only 9 judges.

It's almost time to update the panel of judges on the Supreme Court to 12- But, it will wait a couple of years more until when the Democrats will take back the entire legislative branch!

Then, the Democrats will level the playing field by adding 3 A-political judges to the Supreme Court!

Vermouth Ruth is not just a drunk. She also has no respect for the law and thinks she has a duty to write laws even though the constitution says only congress can do that.

because he wanted to trigger the Republicans to deprive him of a SC nomination........it worked.......and thanks for the chuckle about Garland being on any conservative's list........

That can be done by congress at any time. The constitution does not specify the size of the SC. Repubs could have done it during trumps first term. Same with obama's first term.
 
As I understand it you need 60 votes in the senate to increase the SC. I dont see that happening any time in the future.

That is true!

But, there could come a time when the number of SC judges does change.

That is why, we should be trying to keep the politics from swaying court opinions by the appointment of A-political judges- best for Republicans- best for Democrats- and best for America!

We should not put political hacks on the Supreme Court!

If the Republicans continue to nominate and approve Textualists and Originalists to the Supreme Court, like they recently did in approving Bret Kavanaugh, then it may be time to add more judges!

When you say “apolitical” you mean agrees with you. Stop lying.

Was Ginsberg being apolitical when she was bashing Trump? Did you come on here and criticize her? No you didn’t. You applauded it. You sir are a liar and a hypocrite.
