Either way I don't think there is anything about this guy that qualifies him as selling out his race unless you consider jungle fever to do so.

It's been associated with the "crab mentality". When fishermen catch a bucket of crabs, they don't have to put a lid on it; because any crab that tries to crawl out of the bucket, is pulled back down by the other crabs.

Yeah, I've looked in several different mirrors in my day and they all show a white person to me. Introducing a friend as 'my boy' has nothing to do with one trying to act like someone they're not. Based on your reaction here sir it looks like the 'hot mess' might be you.

this thread is a perfect example of poets hypocrisy. He says he has class and culture and is not a racist, but he clearly is by his statements that indicate no respectable black man would befriend a white person that would refer to him in terms only black people are allowed to use with each other, nor would it be possible for any white person to be friends with black people because those black people would then just be uncle toms, incapable of being black.

You are as insane and out of touch with reality as wacky. No respectable black man (or woman) would allow him or herself to be insulted or demeaned by a white person, using terms which conventionally have been viewed as "pejorative" (i.e. "boy", "you people", "n-word" (and all of its' variations), etc..)
And where do you get that I think that it's not possible for any white person to be friends with black people, or vice versa? What does association have to do with ideology? I have Muslim and Jewish friends , and I'm a Christian....does one negate the other? I have white friends in this very forum, mostly liberals, but ideology is not a prerequisite to friendship, though it helps.
My reading group consists of 90 % white, Jewish, middle-aged and elderly women. Does the association compromise who I am, or who they are? Absolutely not. So, again, you have no idea what you're talking about...and therefore, should be silent. And racists can't very well call others "racist", and be coherent.

The above is something a true racist can never understand. He will never get the fact that a white guy and a black guy can be friends while also caring less if their friend's pigmentation is different. He lives on pigmentation differences as all racists do. Only a racist would call someone of the same race a 'traitor/uncle Tom/house negro' etc.... for not believing and acting and talking as the racist wants them to. Only a racist such as yourself would fail to understand that men who are friends that don't care what color pigmentation their friends have don't get wrapped up in such nonsense as the above. My friends are my 'family', my brothers (regardless of pigmentation) are just that.... brothers. I can tell you for a fact, to them... LOL. Something a true racist does is never to castigate members of one's own race when those members are acting out "negatively" (i.e. being racist or bigoted), because to do so would be the essence of hypocrisy. I, not being a racist, have no problem calling out other blacks when they "act out" negatively (i.e. supporting the Tea or Republican Parties, with their racist and bigoted views...completely ignoring the fact that most of the vitriol leveled at President Obama is xenophobic and "race-based", and that they are mere "pawns" in a political game, in a quest for power and control.
I have 1270 friends on my facebook page. I dare say that one third of them are white. One, in particular is Brett Cullen...the actor. While at Univ. of Houston, I was asked to pledge Phi Kappa Theta, as the first black pledgee, by his brother, whom I met at orientation. I eventually became a frequent dinner guest at the Cullen residence, and Brett was a surfer dude, who would vacation in California. He wound up getting into acting and has been in numerous movies and tv spots. I worked with his mother at the Texas Medical Center...and she always had glowing things to say about me. My white friends and acquaintances would laugh in your face at the suggestion.

Men who are friends also realize the track of history, and that "being friends" doesn't come with caveats, which allow one, white, to demean or diminish one, black, with racial pejoratives, such as "my boy" or "my niggah". That is just some rationalization for your racism....you so "down" and "cool" you can call your homie 'my boy", or "my niggah". Bullshit.
