The Plight of the Afgan women is not something America is in a place to resolve right now.
We need to do what we can to prevent a 9-11 from ever being planned in Afganistan, then we need to get home and fix our own problems. Maybe someday we can find a way to help those women, but we can be more effective helping other people if we fix our own house first.

I always find it interesting how the war mongers fixate on Afghanistan...as they have been instructed to do by their masters (to coin a phrase, he he).

The fact is they don't give any more of a shit about women than George W Bush did when he invaded. This isn't about women, has never been about women, and never will be about women.
I have mixed feelings on the topic but the bottom line is they don't want us there, the women rage against us and feel we kill their children, the academics lay out very complex reasons why western culture will never be adopted in their homelands nor do they want it, they define freedom in their own way and feel they have to attain it themselves. I am amused by blowhard men cursing and screaming on the internet...neither of whom have ever spoken with even one of these women. It's not an easy conversation. Anyone who believes I agreed with everything, or even most of what they had to say is straight up crazy.
But I do know we can't force "Freedom" at the end of a gun or at the bottom of a bomb exploding on children. It hasn't worked in the ten years we have been there, and it never will. Just the facts.

The fate of Afghanistan belongs to the Afghan people .. and surely, surely you know the history of Afghanistan as the graveyard of invaders.
