and yet, they have not always controlled the land. you have nothing from the NT. if it was such a huge deal, why didn't jesus make an issue of it? don't you think those promises were conditional, iow, if they reject god, why would the land be theirs, given it was given based upon a faith in god.

As long as the ruling party of Hamas continues to have in its charter the complete and utter obliteration of Israel there is no possible way I would support their status as a State. Shoot, just today when he was asked what the status of minorities would be in his new "nation" the Ambassador said that it would be a "Jew free zone"...

1) You do not know that it is mandated by God, nor does any other Christian. That is the point you douche. The Bible saying so is a bunch of MEN saying that is the case. The Islamic people ALSO believe in the God of Abraham.... SAME GOD as Christians and Jews.... yet they do NOT believe it is mandated by God... do they?

2) I have no war against Christianity... just against your stupidity. But do tell us genius.... how does the Palestinian/Israeli conflict somehow involve Christians? While there are some Christians there, it is predominantly a Jewish/Islamic dispute.

3) It is not a philosophical point you moron. It is a FACT. The bible was written over the length of time I stated. It was not written all at once, nor was it written by the primary parties involved. AS I stated. It was written by MEN, NOT GOD.

4) Stomping your feet and saying it is mandated by God doesn't make it so. Not in the least. Especially to the Billion plus Muslims out there.

YOU DO REALIZE that both the Jewish AND ISLAMIC faith believe in the God of Abraham? THAT BOTH are the seed of Abraham?

What the hell do you mean why didn't they (or Jesus) make a "big deal" of it? Of what? That God had mandated Israel was their homeland? I don't know, maybe he assumed you wouldn't be an idiot enough to question a direct edict from God Almighty? Certainly he would have to know his devout followers would comprehend this, why would he have a need to reiterate it, and why would his followers be compelled to include it in a book of his teachings, if he did?
