solid proof of evolution

Please show me anything that says the bible was written by God and therefore is 100% accurate. The bible was written by man and is subject to interpretation, I'm a Christian and I understand that man interpreted folk lore about the beginnings of the earth, life and events.
Yet most Christians insist that the Bible was inpired by God and is inerrant.

Belief in life on other planets is based on a rational extension of what we already know. Belief in gods is based entirely on wishful thinking. Again, the premise is that there is an omnipotent god who wants us to believe in him, but provides absolutely no evidence of his existence. The only rational conclusion is that no such beast exists.

So do you think these aliens have or will visit the earth sometime....maybe they will tell us how life in the universe began and where it all started.....
Maybe they will have a religion of their own to share with us.....:dunno:

Unless you have proof of life on other planets to the degree you expect God to provide it to you, it's wishful thinking. If there was life on those other planets, wouldn't you think that life would have found a way to show its existence by now?

Wouldn't those aliens have found a way to provide proof of their existence by now if they were out there?

I'm hoping they have some advanced medical technology to share with us.

I'm not sure what you're saying; are you suggesting that there is no evidence for evolution?

Here we go with evolution vs origin of life again lol.

They are two different things and one by no means confirms the other. I say there is scant evidence for the claim that life can arise from chemicals.

Sorry, Darth - you're the one who misread PMP's post that started the exchange. He was talking about man evolving from a single-celled organism. Not about the inception of that single-celled organism.

Well, should I assume you have evidence for it?

Going from single cells to multicellular—with organs, body plans and such, is a pretty big leap.

And you know what they say about extraordinary claims.

You really are clutching at straws. You do understand the difference between inspired and recorded don't you? The Civil War inspired the book Gone with the Wind, but that doesn't mean it was a accurate description of events. Man wrote the Bible as he interpreted events. You can't be that stupid that you don't understand the difference.

Well, that was a quick & seamless goalpost switch. There isn't really much evidence of evolution up until there were vertebrates - but there is a ridiculous amount of evidence for it after that. So, it isn't exactly "100% faith" to infer evolution up to that point.

It’s roughly on par with inferring an infinite mind behind the universe based on the apparent design that’s everywhere you turn lol.
