As to "pick and choose", Christians do that all the time. They ptck and choose which parts of the Bible they'll believe in. Whatever fits their preconceived notions. And what "importance" do "The Pyramid texts carved on the walls and sarcophagi in the pyramids" really have? Do ancient myths and legends really have any value or relevance in the modern world?

What I've seen is anti-evolutionists claiming that evolution can't be true because it doesn't explain the origin of life. Evolution never claimed to explain the origin of life. It explains pretty much everything after the origin of life.

We don' t have that burden. The absence of evidence is not total proof, but it is very ,very compelling. If you never find evidence ,.not a scrap in over 2,000 years,you can certainly conclude it does not exist. Millions of religious people have begged and screamed for a scintilla of proof...nothing comes. If god existed, he would surely make a huge announcement for the whole world to see.Then religious wars would stop. Atheists would all change their views. So much strife would immediately end. That is the least a god should do. But nope.....silence. Always silence.

Of course evolution is fact. Are you kidding? Who doesn't believe in evolution these days? Believing in anything other than evolution is like believing in witches, Adam & Eve or that the earth is geocentric. People believed that hundreds of years ago but nobody believes that bullshit now.

How do you know that this is the only planet that life formed (not evolved) on? If life had formed on a different planet, and not here, and evolved into intelligent life forms, would they be arguing that there must be a higher power at work?

One thing I have learned during my message board adventures, is that there are a shitload of Republicans that do not accept evolution.

And for these ignoramuses, I can only recommend a visit to the Creation Science Museum in Kentucky, where they can learn about early humans and their dinosaur friends.
