solid proof of evolution

Beyond your abilities obviously. Religion is a belief because it has zero evidence. Nothing, Zip. You are a believer an d I feel sorry for you.
Underneath, not beyond. I'm not the moron who believes the universe just somehow made itself without any rhyme or reason -- that it's all one big fucking accident. lol

Occams razor time. Making up a creator and then making up a brand spanking new place beyond anything we can see and hear, as a wild stab at trying to justify a beleif that cannot be slightly proven, it losing. What does this universe look like? Who created this place and this creature? Oh, back we go again.

I don’t see where occams helps your case.

Simply saying ‘oh well, the universe just exists’ is doing a philosophical end-around. Everything that exists requires an explanation—including the universe. If it began to exist, it requires a cause.

It’s nonsensical to posit a causative agent that exists within space/time. Positing a multiverse scenario kicks the can down the road [what created it?].

And an eternal universe just begs the same kind of question. And ironically, eternal existence is an attribute of the Judeo-Christian God.

The most parsimonious explanation is that whatever caused the universe to exist, exists outside of space and time.

It's certainly fine to think God created the universe.

But it's not really fine to ridicule those who think the universe came into being scientifically, when you believe in a being that just always was.

I have never questioned the existence of evolution. What I have questioned is the ability of evolution to account for all of the physiologic processes in the human body. It is statistically impossible for all of these symbiotic relationships to have occurred by random chance

How could the universe come into being 'scientifically'.....?......
However you look at it, something could not just appear out of nothing, not even a single electron or proton or any bit of matter
.....thats no more scientific and is no more or less ridiculous than believing in whatever your concept of God is.....

Not with the science we know of now - that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

People used to say the same thing you just said about the sun.

Yet none of you adhering to it have yet to provide the actual picture of MY great grandfather form thousands of generations ago you claimed I evolved from. Can you? I mean THE actual picture you can prove is MY family member.

I can neither help you, nor do I feel inclined to spend the time, addressing your lack of education and scientific illiteracy.

If you are genuinely interested in self-enlightenment and self-improvement, National Geographic would be a highly reputable source on evolution.

Here is a question. If evolution is so great why is it so offensive to call Obama a monkey? Just part of the evolutionary tree? What is so insulting about being called a monkey?

I believe he was referring to an evidence based study of cosmology, as opposed to supernatural explanations based upon bronze age myths
of middle eastern bedouins who could barely scratch their nuts let alone send probes out of the solar system.

Who claims 'he' couldn't.....Christian belief just claims he didn't....not he couldn't.

And Jonus was swallowed by a whale, and Sampson's strength was in his hair, and Noah built an arc from wood that carried 2 of every creature in the world on it while god flooded the entire planet.

Your theology is fucking retarded. My 4 year old knows better.

People claimed the sun didn't exist ?....really ?.......were they all blind people ?

We all see what 'exists'.....we just don't know what all exists.....Reasonable people must admit things exist that we are unaware of......

and that is not what my post is trying to get across....I said 'something could not just appear out of nothing, not even a single electron or proton or any bit of matter

The mystery is what caused that very first bit of matter to come into existence and what was it....what was "the beginning"....

How that very first bit of matter evolved is another matter

Did they have cameras thousands of generations ago? With the study of evolution, I actually believe it is complicated to the degree most religious people don't even understand the concept.
Their minds aren't capable of it. We are dealing with people who accept the idea that everything in existence today, at least back to 6000 years ago or so, when a lonely god spent a week,
whatever the fuck a week means without a rotating earth around a sun, creating all extant physical matter and biodiversity.

Where did I say that people said either the universe or sun doesn't exist?

Think it through, bravs. We used to have no scientific explanation for the sun, so people worshipped it like a god. We currently have no explanation for how the universe came into being - but that doesn't mean an explanation doesn't exist.

The problem for science is that with every breakthrough that eventually gets accepted in religious orthodoxy, they claim it as their own faster than Buzz Aldrin can claim the entire moon for the USA.

"OK, big bang? Well, that doesnt fit well neatly with our turtle on four elephants theory, but if its true, then God did it."

That's what you deal with. As with politics, its largely tribal. I'll cop to my tribe. My tribe's organizing principle is rationality and evidence based belief.
