Did you see the video where the Iraqi threw shoes at Bush....

Very funny, and Bush did deserve it!

just awesome.

There are some protests today in Sadr City, Nadjaf and one other complete with burning American Flags demanding the release of the Size 10 Assassain

Amazingly, amid all of this, Bush was able for the first time to take a motorcade through Baghdad. I'll take a couple of shoes over a bomb any day.

Bombs are worse than shoes. But before we invaded there were very few shoes or bombs benig thrown at people.

There were both. Shoes, people feared throwing them because they would be killed and their families raped. Bombs happened all the time there. Shoot, sometimes there was even gas.

And now what is happening to the guy who threw the shoes?

The Iraqi people have said things were better under Sadam even though many hated him.

NO that was just after the invasion when they were greeting us as liberators. You know, after we won there harts and minds.

I heard on the radio, this guy wont even be prosecuted... Some in Iraq are calling him a hero!

So. Those who were afraid to even think of throwing a shoe in protest of the government now have free speech and can protest without fear?

Methinks that is a good thing.

Just checking. It sounds a lot like it though. Basically, you are saying that notwithstanding all the dead people, at least he can protest without fear (even though he is currently locked up), so hey, he's got that going for him . . . which is nice.

True...! They have more freedom than we do, imagine what would happen to the American who did that to Bush.

1) There is a difference between 'protest' and 'assault'

2) Had that been Saddam... he (a) would not likely have dared to throw something at Saddam and (b) if he had, would now be 'disappeared'

I agree its a great thing. No way the guy should be prosecuted.
